Colorful skyline of Guanajuato
I took the funicular up to Monumento al Pípila while visiting Guanajuato and the view from the top was absolutely worth it! amazing panoramic view of the city downtown — the colorful buildings, narrow streets, and the cathedral, the city is so vibrant. It’s hands down the best spot to take in the whole city.
A tip: try to go in the late afternoon when the light is perfect, and it’s a bit cooler. The funicular ride is quick and easy, but walking down is nice too, especially if you want to explore the streets below. It’s definitely a must-do if you're in the city!

San Miguel's stunning skyline
San Miguel de Allende was awesome! Walking around the city felt so cool—cobblestone streets, colorful buildings, and the cathedral is visible pretty much from everywhere you look. It’s really tall and stands out over the whole city. I must’ve taken so many pictures of it!
The city’s small, so it’s easy to walk around, but be ready for some hills. Wear comfy shoes! The main square is always busy with music, street vendors, and people hanging out.

Colors of Guanajuato
I absolutely loved Guanajuato! The town is full of colorful buildings, and the streets are so charming. I couldn’t stop taking pictures—every corner has a bright, unique vibe. Walking around the narrow alleys and discovering hidden plazas felt wonderful, it took me two days to check out most of the spots in the city.
One tip: wear comfy shoes! The hills can be steep, and you'll be walking a lot.

Canyon de Sumidero: one of the most scenic boat rides
A boat tour at Sumidero Canyon in Chipas is absolutely a must, and it was amazing! The canyon walls are HUGE, and we got so close to them on the boat. There are waterfalls and we even saw crocodile and lots of birds. The guide told us a lot of interesting stuff about the place, which made it even better.
A couple of things to keep in mind: bring sunscreen, a hat, and something to protect your phone or camera because it’s easy to get splashed. It’s also better to go early before it gets too hot or crowded. The ride can be a little bumpy, but it’s totally worth it.

Mexico city skyline
Mexico City was such a surprise! It's full of energy, history, and incredible food. We spent days exploring neighborhoods like Roma and Condesa, with beautiful parks, cool cafes, and street art everywhere. It's quite comfy to just walk there plus it was very easy to rent bicycles and they were perfect to explore the city.
A tip: be ready for the altitude! It's higher than you think, so drink lots of water and take it easy at first.
One of my favorite things was spotting the city's skyline from different districts. The views change so much depending on where you are—downtown has the classic skyscrapers, while areas like Chapultepec give you more green space with the city in the background. The city is huge and very diverse, I enjoyed my 3 days stay quite some!

Ruins next to white sand beach
I really enjoyed my visit to Parque Nacional Tulum. The ruins were stunning, especially with the ocean right next to them. I spent a couple of hours just walking around on my own pace.
Additional bonus to the ruins and the beach was local wildlife. Lots of coatis and iguanas all around the archeological site.
One tip is to go early in the day. It gets super hot and crowded later on. I brought sunscreen, but a hat would’ve been a good idea too. The water below the cliffs was so clear, and I jumped in to cool off. It felt amazing.

My favorite beach in Mexico
Playa Las Viudas is my favorite beach in all of Mexico because of its views and because it feels so chilled and pristine. The beach is quite long, it's a great walk, about 15 minutes to the far end where I liked to sit by the rocks.
Whales are frequent from December till April there and it's easy to spot them from the beach.
This beach is surrounded by luxury villas and upscale resort, so it is usually quite quiet and just few people there.
A tip: there aren't many services nearby, so bring your own snacks, water, and sunscreen.
I also loved the small, natural pools that form in the rocks when the tide goes out. It’s a perfect spot to just relax and swim. So, better come during the high tide!

Oaxaca's hidden gem
I had such a great time in Puerto Escondido! The vibe there is laid-back and friendly, with beautiful beaches and lots of things to do. The town itself has a nice mix of local culture, good food, and cool cafes. It’s not too touristy, which was lovely.
Puerto Escondido is famous for surfing but there are also a few small, calmer beaches that are perfect for swimming.
A tip: if you want to avoid the crowds, try visiting in the off-season. And if you can, take a trip to the nearby lagoons to see the bioluminescence—it’s magical!

Going to see Pyramid of the Magician
Uxmal was amazing! The pyramids are super cool, and the whole place feels really peaceful. The Pyramid of the Magician is the standout and looks so huge. I loved just walking around and exploring at my own pace.
Uxmal pyramids have lots of details and carvings on the walls, I spent quite some time looking up close to all those little details.
A quick tip: try to go early or later in the day to avoid the heat. Wear comfy shoes, too, because there’s a lot of walking. It’s also way less crowded than places like Chichen Itza, so it feels a lot more relaxed.

A Journey Through Time at Teotihuacan
Visiting Teotihuacan is a must. The pyramids look big from far away, but when you’re standing next to them, they’re massive! Climbing the Pyramid of the Sun was tough, but once I got to the top, the view was so worth it. I just sat there for a bit, and then surely took lots of pictures.
Walking around the site took me half of the day. It’s super quiet, and you can almost feel the history. The Avenue of the Dead was also really cool—it’s just a long path, but it has this weird, powerful vibe with the pyramids on each side.
Tip: the site is big, it is flat but it's a lot of walking under the sun. So, sunscreen, hat, and good shoes would be a great idea.

Cooling Off at El Chiflón: My Favorite Spot in Chiapas
After spending 3 weeks in Chiapas, I can say my favorite place was El Chiflón Waterfall. The main waterfall is huge, and the sound of the water is crazy loud, but in a good way. The hike to get there is a little tough, but the view is totally worth it once you reach the top.
It’s surprisingly peaceful there, even though it gets a lot of visitors. The mist from the falls feels so nice, and it’s just a really cool spot to relax. If you go, wear good shoes because the path can be slippery, and bring some water for the hike.
Swimming in the lower level of the waterfall on the way back was an additional cool thing of this little trip. The water was freezing, but after the hot hike, it felt so refreshing and rewarding.

Charming Streets and Hidden Gems of Querétaro City
Querétaro City was a pleasant surprise! I really enjoyed walking around the charming historic center with its cobblestone streets and colorful buildings. The vibe is relaxed but full of life, and there’s always something going on—whether it's street music or local markets.
One tip: make sure to visit the Aqueduct, it’s such an impressive sight. Also, the food was amazing, especially the local quesadillas and margaritas.
I loved how easy it was to explore, the city is easy to walk and provides lots of local hidden gems here and there. Overall it's a worthy day trip from Mexico City.

Exploring the Timeless Beauty of Monte Albán
Monte Albán was amazing! I Ruins are located on top of the hill, and the views were incredible. I could see the whole valley below me. I spent over four hours there, exploring every corner and imagining what life must have been like all those years ago.
I went early to avoid crowds, which was perfect. The place felt so peaceful. I'm happy that I had my comfy hiking shoes on because there’s a lot of walking.
Tip: sunscreen and a hat are a must because there not much shadow. It's better to bring water and some snack with you.

Peaceful Escape at Convento de Cuilapam de Guerrero
I didn’t know much about Convento de Cuilapam de Guerrero before I went, but it turned out to be such a peaceful place! It was lovely to wander around with almost no tourists, just enjoying the quiet atmosphere. The old architecture and the open space made it feel really serene.
The church and ruins are beautiful in a simple way, and I loved how calm it was—felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. I'd really liked small detail, to wander around and look close up.
A tip: sunscreen is always a great idea when traveling in Oaxaca!

Hidden Paradise in selva of Yucatan
Cenote X'batun is the first cenote I’ve ever visited, and it is unbelievably pretty! The water was so clear, and the surroundings were so peaceful with all the jungle greenery.
The best part was how quiet it was—there weren’t anyone but me with my boyfriend, so I could really relax and enjoy the moment. I loved watching underwater little fish swimming among the water lilies, it's a whole different world there under the water. We spent lots of time free diving to the bottom of the cenote. It is really difficult to describe with words, but the light hits so beautifully through the water!
One tip: wear water shoes because the rocks can be slippery. Also, be sure to bring bug spray, especially if you’re there for a while.

Stone frozen waterfalls!
I had no clue what to expect when I went to Hierve el Agua, but it turned out to be amazing! The natural pools at the top are so cool—definitely one of the best Insta spots in Oaxaca. The view from up there is gorgeous, with the mountains and pools right in front of you.
There is a path that takes you down to the base of the hill and even though It’s a bit of a hike, but the rock formations that look like frozen waterfalls are so worth it and look so much more impressive from the bottom.
A tip: wear good shoes because the trail is rocky and slippery. It’s best to go early to avoid the crowds. I’m really glad I made the trip!

White sand paradise in Mexico
White sand beaches of Cancun are unbelievable! The water is super clear and warm, almost like a dream. I really liked how there’s always something to do—lots of beach clubs, water sports, and fun vibes everywhere.
I had a great time just relaxing by the beach or exploring. But the best part for me was that the beach is so long and that I could walk for hours because that's really my thing and i'm forever in love with long empty beaches.
Tip: If you want a quieter spot, maybe stay a bit away from the main hotel area. But if you're up for action, the hotel zone is perfect. Don’t miss the sunsets—they’re amazing!

Tulum Beach: A Perfect Blend of Relaxation and Beauty
Tulum Beach is just stunning! Caribbean sea coast is the dream like! The water is incredibly clear and the soft, white sand feels so nice underfoot. I loved how laid-back the vibe was—there are no big resorts, just cozy boutique hotels and beach clubs.
One tip I have is to get there early to avoid the rush, especially if you want to enjoy the sunrise. The mornings are magical, with a peaceful atmosphere and barely anyone around.
#northamericatrip #mexico #tulum
Tiny but famous
A small beach right next to ancient Mayan ruins is a famous spot in Tulum, Mexico. Waters of the Caribbean sea is hard to beat - the color of the water is just amazing, the perfect turquoise is so inviting! White sand is another famous thing of the Caribbean beaches - and surely that's what you get at this tiny beach.
But the best part is that I was able to get down there and get a quick swim and refresh after walking around famous Mayan ruins for a couple of hours. It was just perfect because it's getting so hot and exploring ruins would be much more tiresome without the ability to have this quick dip.
Tip: prepare right outfit, swimsuit and a towel when you go to the ruins. Seems many people come just for the ruins without the swimsuit, so they are unable to get into the water.

Paradise in Mexico
I had such a great time at Laguna de 7 Colores in Bacalar. The water is so clear, and the different shades of blue were amazing.
The sailing boat ride was definitely my favorite part. Captain navigated a small catamaran, we stopped at different spots and it was super relaxing (I am glad I had a rash guard on and lots of sunscreen for my face tho!). I spent quite some time just swimming and floating around at every stop.

Epic cenote inside a cave
Cenotes are my favorite thing in Mexico! Cenote Suytun's view is absolutely epic. This cenote is inside a cave, with sunlight streaming through a hole in the ceiling, creating this amazing light beam that hits the water.
The water is a beautiful deep blue color, but when I dipped my toes in, it was pretty cold, so I opted out of swimming there 😄
A tip: get there early to avoid crowds. It’s one of the most beautiful cenotes I’ve seen, the cave itself is gorgeous and this cenote is one of the most Insta-worthy that Ive been to.

Focus on: Canyon de Sumidero, gem of Chiapas
Cañón del Sumidero is an extremely beautiful place. Most people think the boat tour is the only thing worth doing, but surprisingly, there’s a lot more to explore.
If you have a car, then take a winding road that goes up to a few viewpoints, and they offer some of the most gorgeous views of the canyon.
I loved the drive up, and each viewpoint had a different angle of the canyon, making it feel like I was seeing something new at every stop. The views were absolutely breathtaking—huge cliffs, lush greenery, and the river winding below. Just a few more cars were there, so it was not crowded at all.
A tip: there are no stores up the hill, so buy water and snacks before you start this drive up.

Mayan ruins where I was absolutely alone!
I visited the Mayapan ruins in Yucatán, and I absolutely loved it! The site is pretty small compared to other ruins, but that’s part of what made it so special. I was the only person there, which felt amazing—like I had the whole ancient place to myself!
The ruins themselves are really well-preserved, and I loved climbing the pyramids and exploring the buildings. The views from the top were beautiful, especially with no one else around.
A tip: wear good shoes because the ground can be uneven. It's also pretty hot, so bring water. The quiet and solitude made it one of my favorite spots in Yucatán, and I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a more personal, tranquil experience.

Mexican silver city Taxco
I had such a great time in Taxco! The best part was walking around the narrow, old streets. They’re all cobblestone, and every corner you turn feels like a little hidden gem. It was so fun to just explore and see the old buildings, cool shops, and beautiful views.
But then it's all up and down, so I was really tired by the end of each day. Still couldn't stop walling to see more and more though.
Taxco is known for silver, so there are tons of silver shops. I ended up buying a silver earrings as a souvenir, and there were so many other pieces I wanted!
Also, all the taxis are old Volkswagen Beetles. Small thing, but they look so cute!

Fairy tale forest in Mexico, no kidding!
I had no idea that butterflies migrate! But apparently some do! There is a Monarch butterfly sanctuary in Michoacan, about 5 hours drive from Mexico city. I went in March and butterflies were already awake and flying around everywhere, getting ready to go back north to USA.
I couldn’t stop smiling the whole time, seriously, I felt like a little girl in a fairy tale with all the hundreds of butterflies flying around me.
The hike up to the sanctuary was a bit tough, but totally worth it once you get there. The view is amazing, it is basically a forest with lots and lots of beautiful that are everywhere.
A tip: wear good shoes because the ground can be slippery. Also, try to go early to avoid crowds. And bring water! Once you start to hike up - there is no places to buy anything.

In search of Paradise
I had such a peaceful experience at Playa Los Muertitos in Baja California Sur. It is located about an hour drive from La Paz city.
The beach was exactly what I needed—quiet, calm, and beautiful. The water was crystal-clear, and the sand was soft, making it the perfect spot to just relax. It felt like a hidden paradise, far away from the usual crowds, which allowed me to fully unwind.
One thing I noticed was that it gets busier on weekends, so if you want a more peaceful experience, weekdays are definitely better. Getting there was a bit of an adventure, though. The roads leading to the beach are rough, and a good car is essential. Once there, I was completely off the grid—no cell service, which turned out to be a blessing for disconnecting from everything.
I really loved how quiet and remote the place felt. Spending time there was exactly what I needed to recharge. If you’re looking for a relaxing, peaceful escape, Playa Los Muertitos is a spot I highly recommend.

The most insta-worthy rooftop in La Paz
Hotel Republica Pagana has the most Insta worthy rooftop in the entire city of La Paz, California, Mexico. It is a new hotel with stunning architectural work. the rooftop of the hotel has a vibe of Gaudy architecture, peculiar curves and bends to the ceiling arches.
The place is absolutely stunning and provides the best view over Malecon and sea of Cortez. I enjoyed sitting there and sipping my drink while watching blue of the sea and the sky...
The best part - you don't have to be a guest, you just need to make a reservation and come to enjoy a drink or a meal at the rooftop.
I am a sunset girl, so surely I'd advocate that the best time to come is sunset - sun rolls into sea of Cortez and provides epic stunning views to enjoy!

Insta worthy high-end hotel where you can snap pictures for the price of a drink
JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa is a stunning property. After getting a drink and a bar, we drove around and enjoy the art pieces they have in a public areas and great views of the ocean. Every restaurant has its own vibe and everything is thought through to the tiny details. There are lots of photo opportunities in this hotel.
The staff is very friendly and we were very welcomed, even if we stated that we are coming just for a drink. The place was half empty, very relaxed and tranquil.
It is quite a drive from Cabo San Lucas, but it's totally worth it. The drive starting past San Jose is beautiful. And given that the area of the hotel is pretty big - this outing easily can be turned into a half day trip.

The most insta-worthy bar in Todos Santos
La Copa Bar is located at Todos Santos boutique Hotel, and it is probably the most insta worthy bar in the entire town.
The ambience resemble that one of the cigar lounges, though they do not sell the cigars.
The place is really chilled, and they usually have DJs and live music in the evenings of the weekend. Cocktails are great, and Mezcalitas were surely my favorites.
Place is super laid-back, and never crowded. In my favorite spot for a good drink a nice ambience when I visit lovely town of Todos Santos.

Mexico | Swim with Dolphin and enjoy the sea view。
Wildlife Connection
📍Paseo de la Marina Sur #214, Marina Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico, C.P. 48300
Right across from our hotel, there’s an excursion center where my friend booked a dolphin-swimming experience online through Wildlife Connection, and it was absolutely amazing!
For the first time, I swam in the open sea without any barriers, and these huge dolphins swam and played alongside us, which was so much fun.
After our trip out to sea, we headed over to a landmark on the Puerto Vallarta Marina featuring a dolphin sculpture where tourists can take photos, especially beautiful at sunset. It was such a memorable experience, and the seaside view at dusk was breathtaking.
