I had the pleasure of visiting the popular Canton Tower located in Guangzhou. It was one of the most memorable experiences I’ve had in a while. Though my stay was quite short, my visit to Canton Tower made it worth while. The Canton is a power house filled with great sightseeing sites and some super cool rides. They offer different packages which is based on what activities you would like to see. They have several observatories, a sky drop ride ( which was undoubtedly my favorite 😍), there’s also a horoscope inspired ropeway which rotates around the edge of the tower. This attraction doesn’t require a lot of time. I went on the weekend and surprisingly the lines weren’t that long. A new cross-river pedestrian bridge was officially opened last month in Guangzhou. The Haixin Bridge, a curved-girder, cable-stayed bridge, spans 198 meters of water, with a total length of 488. A very nice and new way to cross the Pearl River. The bridge is very modern looking and convenient to hop on the other side of the river right in the city's central business district. It is allowing pedestrians to sit and enjoy the scenery on both sides of the river. Pink Star Art Space - 100 rmb per-person on weekdays. Actually the entire park is a shooting base, though a lot of people go there to take pictures. Please, note that you are not allowed to change your clothes to take picture in different looks, as it’ll be considered as commercial shooting and the price will be far more then just 100 rmb. So it’s better to think about the way you’ll be dressed in advance “ girls thank me later”. Shamian Island is a small island on the Pearl River, located in Liwan District of Guangzhou. You can go there and enjoy European style architecture as once the island was used as a consular area in the past. Definitely a most see place in Guangzhou! Where you can enjoy not only the architecture, but also please yourself in one of the many restaurants. Once you cross the bridge and step on the island it feels like you are in another world, a world where you can relax and enjoy your time away from the outside noise and everyday rush. Guangzhou Big Buddha Temple is the MOST beautiful, and the biggest temple I’ve ever seen in China so far. In Chinese it is called: 大佛寺 - Which literally means Grand Buddha Temple. It is located in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou. (basically - Beijing road pedestrian street) The building is absolutely gorgeous in the evening as you can see in the pictures, I was amazed by the way it looks. I'm just admiring this homestay we found just outside Yuexiu Park, one of the big urban park in Guangzhou. ❤️ Since I like old school antiques, I am really fascinated how the interior is designed. It got 3 spacious bedrooms with 3 baths, a living room, kitchen and dining room. Every single detail of decoration is well-thought of. The landlady said its a mixed of modern and Chinese culture designs. From the lamps, the bed frame, the dining set, the tea set, everything in the house just flows. We stayed 3 days and 2 nights. Price worth: good and affordable Not to mention the location of this homestay is also good. A lot of small food shops and fast food chains around the area. Shopping for souvenirs is also no problem. Yum Cha is a Chinese dining experience that involves drinking tea and eating dimsum. Yum Cha is Cantonese word that literally means "to drink tea". Either you go for late breakfast (around 10am) or like afternoon tea time (3pm). Serving tea (which believed to help you digest the food) and dimsum dishes. Dimsum like phoenix claw (chicken feet), char siu Bao, spring rolls, hakao, siomai, spare ribs, and a lot more. We ordered every single kind in the menu. Started the dine in at 10am, eat, talk, tea. This is one of our favourite hiking areas in Guangzhou. There are so many trails leading all over the mountain. It contains well maintained concrete paths as well as some dirt tracks for those who want the 'real' hiking experience. Although it is a steep ascent, the climb is relatively easy if you stick to the main pathways and the views are well worth the hike.
