Sirao Garden in Cebu is one of the most marvelous and stunning photo spots I have ever seen 🏞️ Preserved and beautiful nature in the background blends with an artistic garden that features lots of artisanal art pieces that which are seamlessly integrating into the nature and are creating a unique photo spot that will guarantee you stunning photos 🏞️ It can be a little bit hard hard to reach since it is on a little mountain outside of the city. What a treat! While personally I am not a fan of coriander (cilantro), Wild Coriander in Melaka certainly has me considering otherwise! There is a fantastic energy about this place from the moment you are greeted at the door to the time you say goodbye. The staff are all incredibly friendly and make you feel at home! I was dining alone, and there separate staff members came over to say hello and ask me how I was enjoying Melaka. The interior of the restaurant is outstanding. With foliage inside this historic building that adds so much character and intrigue. The decor is really beautiful and it is certainly instagramable 😅 The menu here is excellent, with a wide range of Nyonya cuisine to choose from, including vegetarian 🌱 They have an extensive drinks menu and for those with a sweet tooth, a good selection of desserts to choose from. You should definitely visit the Instagrammable Purple Islands in South Korea! They are two small islands where everything is purple. By "everything," I mean purple buildings, plants, roads, clothes, and even food! The islands became purple-themed to further promote tourism. If you wear a purple outfit, the admission to the islands is free! The first island, Banwol Island, had beautiful purple flowers and amazing views of the sea. The island was also one giant forested mountain overlooking everything. There were few people (Banwol and Bakji Islands had less than 150 residents total), as the village was only in a small segment of the island. As we walked around, there were the occasional small benches with a purple roof. There were also many beautiful butterflies on the island, and we saw a grasshopper and a giant green mantis. It was fantastic to see many different insects! We even saw a hummingbird hawk-moth and thought it was a hummingbird because its wings flapped so quickly! We saw it feeding on the nectar of the purple flowers using its long proboscis. Even though Bakji Island was smaller, there was more to do and see. We saw purple trucks and golf carts at the island's entrance. There was also a purple food truck that sold coffee and light bites. A purple sign also showed the way up a mountain to get great views for photos. The lavender field was breathtaking. We made a Trip to Zhangye in Gansu province to see the spectacular rainbow mountains with our own eyes. We flew from Beijing Daxing airport and it took 2:45 hours to get to Zhangye. On arrival we found our hotel and it was just by a food market, we had lunch and breakfast here during our stay. We were five persons traveling together so we asked our hotel to arrange trips for us around Zhangye. They had a mini bus to take us around. First stop: 🌈 Rainbow mountains We had certain expectations and were not disappointed. You can actually see the colors in the mountains. Its reddish sandstone that has been eroded to create magnificent rock formations with gorgeous colors over billions of years. By entrance of the park we had to take a bus to the different viewing points. Second stop: Bingguo Danxia landform Bingguo is the lesser known Danxia in the shadow of Rainbow mountain with less colors, mainly red. However we found it extremely cool to do a 3 hour hike in this spectacular landscape. Third stop: Giant Buddha temple With the largest sleeping Buddha in China. Visiting Singapore was an unforgettable experience. I have been there twice and I can’t wait to return again. I fell in love from the moment I arrived. I was captivated by its culture, stunning architecture and delicious food. One of the famous spots that I visited on my trips were Gardens by the Bay both day and night, Marina Bay Sands, Chinatown, little India, the jewel terminal, and spots around the city centre. zhongshuge - 钟书阁 A unique bookstore in Shenzhen, China We went to visit THAT bookstore and we were not disappointed. (I've actually been several times and it's still impressive) It has a very creative and futuristic design. At the entrance is a huge red spiral bookshelf that extends into the store. There are also mirrored floors and ceilings that give the appearance of a spiral labyrinth of books. There’s a lot of posts out there that discuss the beauty view of Hong Kong from Victoria Peak. Most people take the tram, which is good, but trust me that the view is twice as good after you have earned it from hiking there yourself. Read on if you want a simple guide to follow so you can get yourself all the way from Hong Kong central to Victoria Peak via a beautiful nature filled trail. We started the day about 9am and we’re eating lunch and drinking a well deserved beer by 1. It’ll be a bit shorted if, unlike me, you’re fit and don’t dilly dally. Ok, a simple place to start is from the Hong Kong Center Metro strip. May I suggest exit D2. From there get yourself onto theater street where you’ll find yourself a public information post complete with a local map (see pictures). From here, follow the maps directions to the escalators and follow them all the way up. You don’t have to take the escalators and can just follow them instead so you can gain calves of steel. The last escalator should bring you up to conduit road (see pictures). At this point you have a choice, go left and take the tram up to the top or turn right and continue your hike. Once you’ve take the obvious choice of turning right, follow the road for about 15 minutes (give or take) until you finally come to a split in the road. You’ll want to go uphill up Hatton Road (see pictures of my pasty friend pointing the right way. No worries if you over shoot this road, if you continue you’ll eventually hit a small fire station. Just to the side of this are some steps that will take you to the trail. And here you are, this is the Morning Trail. It’ll be just under 3km (up some steep hills) to the peak. It’s a beautiful nature filled trail that is very conveniently signposted. 3 sweaty kilometers later you’ll find yourself at the Top of Victoria peak. Weirdly, there’s 2 malls there. I suggest going into the smaller one (should be on your left) where you can purchase a ticket to go to the roof terrace to get a truly spectacular view of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. Finally, to finish your journey I suggest taking the tram down and enjoy the beautiful view and the slightly rollercoaster like ride. You can use your Octopus card for this. Make sure you get one of these for your time in HK, these things are amazing. Why not hit two birds with one stone. From the Tram’s terminus it is only a short walk to Hong Kong Zoo. It’s easily sign posted. WARNING!
