Thrilling and Fun with Immersive Themed Zone
I recently had an amazing day at Universal Studios Singapore, and I can’t recommend it enough! The park is beautifully designed, with immersive themed zones that transport you into your favorite movies.
The rides are thrilling and fun, from the adrenaline-pumping roller coasters to the exciting 4D experiences. My favorites were the Transformers and Jurassic Park attractions, both of which were incredibly well done.
The entertainment options, including live shows and character meet-and-greets, added to the overall experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, making our visit even more enjoyable.
The variety of dining options offered delicious meals and snacks to keep our energy up throughout the day.
Overall, Universal Studios Singapore is a fantastic destination for both families and friends looking for a day of adventure and fun. I can’t wait to go back!

Brew Note Coffee Roasters Hongkong
After a long journey, I arrived at Brew Note at around 2 o'clock🏠
Caught the last lunch bus at 2:30🚗
Shiso and pomelo salt koji beef tongue bowl with soy sauce soaked egg yolk🐮👅🍳
The tender and chewy beef tongue core was spread flat😍🍚
The Japanese egg was marinated with mirin soy sauce overnight🥚
The vinegar tomato side dish was very refreshing🍅
The frozen drink cup here is very beautiful with a very textured wavy pattern🌊
The highlight of Shakerado sour is the lemon oil on the lemon peel🍋🥃
The barista brought the coffee to the table and personally picked up a small piece of lemon peel and squeezed it🤏🏻
Although it is invisible to the naked eye, it is like magic✨
The coffee immediately added a burst of lemon aroma😌
My friend's matcha latte was also good🍵

Allpress | 73 duxton Singapore
73duxton serving up coffee and caneles.
You may have seen the extravagant creations of this popup cafe on social media, especially the atrocious looking sundae featuring caneles and ice cream piled high into a glass (featured on the posters in the 2nd photo).
Hype aside, their coffee is actually pretty good, and it's my first time seeing rabbit-shaped oatmilk latte art.

Birds of Paradise within Bird Paradise?
Probably the most no-brainer punchline for bopgelato latest gelato boutique near Bird Paradise - Asia’s largest bird park by mandaiwildlifereserve
Ordered a satisfying scoop (of joy) to beat the scorching weather. 🥵
This outlet also serves expanded menu to include grilled sandwiches, banana bread & drinks with a pleasing botanical view.

Elijah Pies Singapore
#singaporetrip
Started as a baking studio,Elijah Pies has finally opened a dine-in store at Tanjong Pagar, just 3 mins walk away from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station.
Ordered the Nutella Pie and it tasted so good! Good for sharing as it’s a little too sweet for me. It’s also one of the store’s best seller.
The space is small and ig worthy. There’s a fireplace seating concept and it’s really giving a warm homey vibe. A wide selection of pies and drinks is made available and most pies are priced around $7.50-$7.90 per slice. Would definitely be back to try their famous Scallop Chowder Pie

Frenche Roast Singapore
Golf practice & Afternoon Tea with friends.
When it came time to play golf, the wind was blowing like it would before a downpour.
We gave up on the round of golf because it looked like heavy rain was coming and switched to practice.
In the end, it did not rain…
We had plenty of time, so had afternoon tea at a French-style cafe at a coffee shop that had just opened in Molek.
The cakes, scones, and croissants were very tasty and nice.
It was a pleasant few hours.

Tom's Palette Singapore
I’ve been a loyal customer of this ice cream cafe since five years ago, and I’m delighted to say that their standards have consistently remained high. The ice cream has always been delicious, but what truly sets them apart is the exceptional service. On my recent visit, Faith and her team were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help us and the rest of the customers. Their great attitudes and professionalism were truly impressive. It’s wonderful to see a place maintain such high standards over the years, both in terms of quality and service. Highly recommend this cafe for both the tasty ice cream and the outstanding customer care!

Cédric Grolet Singapore
Renowned for his hyperrealistic desserts, chef Cédric Grolet (who has crowned a title of world’s best pastry chef) makes his Asia debuts today.
Located on the ground level of lifestyle hotel COMO Orchard Singapore, the sleek interior is decked in white motifs of fruits and flowers (also seen in the packaging) that reflects his signature creations resembling the real fruits.
Expect Singapore exclusive items like chef Grolet’s take on mooncake & dragonfruit, as well as the classic French bakes (and they are really good)
Long wait is never over due to the insane queue and perpetual fully-booked dine-in reservation.
Pre-order online (limited quantities per day) would be your best bet to have a taste of Grolet’s goodness

Swee Choon Tim Sum Restaurant
Speaking of late-night dim sum spots, Swee Choon is probably one of the first few names that comes across mind.
Good news is that they are opening a new 24-hour outlet at Changi Airport T2, with exclusive items like HK-style wonton noodles and pork cutlet.
Personal favourites are crispy Mee Suah Kueh and deep fried Liu-Sha-Bao, sinful but delightful.

Coexist Coffee Co. At Hillview
Coexist OG outlet at Hillview is back with a revamped concept.
Gone for the dual tone “red & white” days, the interior now is more industrial-metallic and painted with grey. Food remains as their strength with new items added to the menu.
Spicy Otah that stuffed inside a very crispy charcoal You-Tiao will be a crowd favorite. Personally still enjoy very much of their signature squid ink fried rice.

Rachelrax Cakes Singapore
Sis shared that these are nice and we happened to be nearby near Kovan area! We chose 3 flavours - Orh nee, Genmaicha crunch and the lychee rose! Need to get in 2s for the mini tarts! Box of 6 minimum. All the flavours are really good! 😋😋😋 Will definitely get them again! The flavours every month could be different as well! Note that can only stay outside for 1 hour! Initially we wanna takeaway back home buy decided to eat 3 pcs at the cafe first as we still need to go somewhere else!

Alice Boulangerie Singapore
The French way to say croissant is “kwa-son”, of which the pronunciation coincides with the mandarin term I intend to describe this massive 🥐 I had at Alice Boulangerie - 夸颂 (夸张大的可颂).
Measured at half a meter length (equivalent to about 20 regular-sized croissants), the flakiness was not compromised while retaining a fluffy texture, thanks to a 2-hours baking time.
However you would definitely need a big group to share the joy, and to keep some room in your stomach for other appealing entremets and savory items.

Cafe Madison's Singapore
Lovely relaxing ambience in a casual dining restaurant. Unpretentious and serves American food. Hubby had the Empire State Burger which he said was juicy and flavourful. I had the Madison’s cut which was Grain fed steak. The steak was cooked well according to what I ordered. Beef was tender but I would have preferred a softer cut. Jagan attended to us..he was attentive, thoughtful and extremely professional which gave us a great first impression of the restaurant.

COFFEE CHAIN HUGGS FLAGSHIP STORE & COLLABORATION SPACE
Local coffee chain Huggs have just opened up their flagship store just beside Tanjong Pagar MRT station! Unlike their takeaway coffee stands, the flagship store is way larger with a mini amphitheater, members’ lounge and a pet-friendly outdoor space. We’re loving the new look, reminding us of those “house cafés” in Bangkok and Indonesia. 🏠
The store acts as a collaboration centre as well, partnering with brands that they love, such as Samsung and Commune. When in a café, the first thing to do is obvious - getting a cup of coffee. They have a 𝗠 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲, which is a Melbourne-inspired milk coffee that is made using their K-Blend. It does have a savoury hint of sea salt and a chocolatey profile like they stated. ☕️
Other than simple pastries, they partnered with a popular Thai café group @fitmealfoodsg that specialises in delicious Thai fusion healthy mains to offer a heartier meal. 🇹🇭 We had their 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗼𝗺-𝘆𝘂𝗺 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲, which has an amazing spicy fragrance and the salmon fillet is nicely grilled and easy on the palette. 🍛🐟 The 𝗩𝗲𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿 tasted exactly like a juicy, satisfying cheeseburger, but is completely made out of vegetables! Mindblowing! 🤯

Isshin Machi Singapore
Ah, Taiwan, one of Singaporeans’ favourite tourist destinations~ Popular Taiwanese eatery Isshin Machi has just opened their latest outlet in the newest shopping mall in town - GR.ID! The shop is decorated in sync with the mall’s loud design with bright orange and blue. Each of their outlets follows a theme that is unique to Taiwan culture, and this one is no different. Their Selegie outlet is a Mandopop-themed shop with musical instruments and murals of popular Taiwanese artises. 🎸
Taiwanese cuisine is slightly different from Chinese cuisine, in which it is lighter on the palette and focuses more on the use of spices & herbs. But if we’re looking to take things up a notch, they provided us with housemade chilli oil, which is incredibly spicy! Not for the faint-hearted! 🥵 We had their 𝗛𝗮𝗸𝗸𝗮-𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲, which reminds us greatly of our last trip to Taipei right before the pandemic. The pearl rice is nicely cooked and absorbs the sauce for extra satisfaction as you bite a spoonful with the tender meat. 🍲 The 𝗧𝗮𝗶𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝗲𝗳 𝗡𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘀 tasted amazing, with strong hints of star anise and juicy beef cuts. 🍜 Aside from food, they have 𝗕𝗼𝗯𝗮 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗸 𝗧𝗲𝗮, an iconic beverage in Taiwan. 🧋

Burnt Ends Bakery Singapore
As the bakery have their own section that’s separate from the restaurant now, they’re able to accommodate walk-in orders, but it can get really crowded in the morning though. 🌤 The space reminds us of the cafés in Bali, with beautiful concrete and wooden accents.
We heard great things about their 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝗻𝘂𝘁𝘀 and had to get our hands on them. Although they’re quite small, the fluffiness is so satisfying and the filling is pleasantly light! 🍩 Other than that, they have savoury options like the 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘀𝗲 & 𝗢𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗲, which is like a salty biscuit that’s so addictive. The pastries are great, but we’ve to admit, we’re disappointed with their coffee, which tasted overly extracted and burnt.. 😕 We can’t wait for their restaurant section to be open; hopefully the reservation won’t take months with the bigger space! 😂

Specialty coffee roastery Pyroast
Specialty coffee roastery Pyroast has just opened their second outlet today! Unlike their Henderson outlet, the new space is designed to be a coffee experiential bar, with a communal table in the centre that is the perfect for cupping sessions. There’s even a mini roasting machine from ceroffee right at the storefront for rare micro-lots; you know they aren’t here to play around!
Staying true to their roots, the outlet focuses on coffee from Indonesia, which are renowned for their full body. 🇮🇩 We started off with a 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 that is brewed using their. We had the as a filter too, which has a syrupy mouthfeel and hints of raspberry. If coffee is not your thing, they have 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮 𝗧𝗲𝗮 as well, different from the usual Matcha and Hojicha offerings. 🍵 They also have some light pastries and swiss rolls to pair with the coffee. The 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 is a seasonal special on their menu that is made in-house with dark chocolate.

Waffle Place Singapore
Enter through the front door and walk through their open kitchen bar where you can see the team carefully placing each garnish on top. We got the 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲, which is topped with vanilla soft serve and cinnamon-infused apple slices. 🍏 The sweet and spicy mix is a must-have for desserts! It would be better if the waffles are crunchier.
We had the 𝗞𝗲𝗿𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗸 𝗗𝘂𝗰𝗸 from their savoury options, which is smoked duck slices topped with spicy kerutuk sauce. 🦆 It tasted like a saltier and tastier sambal chilli mix, but fair warning, it can be quite spicy. 🥵

Oriental Elixir Singapore
The space retained its iconic dimly-lit interior with antique furnitures and retro native music. 📻 It can seem creepy at first, but once we got comfortable with the ambience, we were instantly mesmerised by how creative and experimental the team were! It follows a bespoke concept, meaning that there’s no menu for their gin-based cocktails, so go nuts with whatever you feel like having! 😛
One thing that’s new about the place is their 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗰𝗼𝘀 (FINALLY)! Choose from 4 different flavours - 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗦𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗴, 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗻 & 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗴, and watch as they are made right before your eyes from scratch (yes, even the taco shells). 🌮

Neighborhood Coffee Bar Singapore
Honestly, a fitness studio is the last place we would think to find one of Singapore’s most aesthetic café in our opinion! The bar is made with a sleek finish of bronze and concrete for that modern minimal theme. If Apple were to come up with their own café, this is exactly how we would imagine it to be. 🤩
Now onto the coffee. We had the 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗮 from brewsmithcoffee in an Iced White. We didn’t have high hopes since as mentioned, their primary model is a spin studio, but they certainly know how to make a mean cup! There’s a hint of fruity sweetness and a good balance of body and acidity. 🍎 In conclusion, the lesson we took away is never to judge a book by its cover. 😅

FESTIVE DINNER BUFFET MENU IN SWISSOTEL MERCHANT COURT!
What’s Christmas without some festive feasting! 🍗 We went down to Ellenborough Market Café at swissotelmerchantcourt the other night for their 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗲𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿, which is only available till 2 Jan next year!
For $88++ per adult, we get to choose from 67 different dishes, with a mix of Asian and Western cuisines. There’s even local delicacies like 𝗜𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗹 and 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗯 𝗞𝘂𝗲𝗵 𝗣𝗶𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗲. 🍧 You know a buffet meal is worth the price when you see expensive cuts of meat like Angus short ribs and seafood in the menu! Our personal favourite was their signature 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘁, which is what the hotel restaurant is popularly known for over the years. The puree is amazingly rich and full of durian sweetness, almost as though we’re eating the meat directly. 🍨

Almost Famous Singapore
In case you’re unfamiliar, craft beers are already considered a funky bunch when compared to regular beers. But Almost Famous takes it up a notch and only source from breweries that have impressed, such as 𝗩𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗢𝗺𝗻𝗶𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼 and more! If you’ve an adventurous palette, you’ll love this place! 😜 If beers aren’t your thing, they have natural wines and decent sake as alternatives. Or they can even whip up some house cocktails originally curated! 🍸
The food is pretty impressive as well, such as their 𝗧𝗼𝗺 𝗬𝘂𝗺 𝗚𝘆𝗼𝘇𝗮, which is perfectly crispy and extremely flavourful. 🥟 What’s exciting is their frequent collabs with underground F&B brands that are great at what they do. Do keep an eye out for these events, as they’re often quickly booked out!

Butler Koffee Singapore
Starting out as a mobile coffee bar in events, Butler Koffee set up their first physical outlet earlier this year when the pandemic was still at full swing. They’ve since relocated to Neil Road earlier last month and are currently occupying a space within Western casual dining @bengwhocooks. The café has a comforting, homely atmosphere, similar to the neighbourhood coffeeshops in Taiwan.
When we heard that they’re using beans specially roasted by @alchemist.sg and @shakecoffeesg, we can’t help but to be excited for the brews! ☺️ The coffee we had was pleasantly bright with hints of milk chocolate. Perfect as a white! ☕️
Aside from coffee, they also have bakes & pastries with some interesting selections such as the 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗞𝗮𝘆𝗮 and 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 & 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝘂𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, both of which sounds delicious! If you’re looking for a dinner space, the space changes over to Beng Who Cooks, which we heard great things as well.

Tigress By 82 Soho Singapore
They’re still in their pre-opening phase with their main focus on Japanese wagyu fat-infused beef burgers. 🥩🍔 You can choose up to 3 different kinds based on the country of origin if you’re looking to elevate your experience! We had 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀, which is Wagyu beef patty with parma ham and blue cheese. The pungent flavour packs a punch as the patty juices get mixed with the gaminess of the ham. 🍖 The 𝗞𝗶𝗺𝗰𝗵𝗶 𝗕𝗲𝗲𝗳 has a slight sourness from the kimchi, but the saltiness of the bacon and beef balances it out! Another thing we noticed were the huge portions of the burgers, definitely worth every bite!
After a hearty meal, you’ll be wanting some nice desserts to end off. oromagelato are the ones behind the housemade gelatos, churning out lighter variations that are tea-based. The outlet-exclusive 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 is made using Korean Yuja fruit and is refreshingly good especially after a heavy meal. 🍨 They have alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages too, such as the 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗵𝘆 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 which look too pretty to drink! 😍

Oaks Coffee Co. Singapore
By the same folks behind thekinscafe, Oaks Coffee Co is the latest among the café haven of Upper Thomson - and just in time for Christmas! 🎄Taking over the space that was previously occupied by Habitat Coffee, Oaks is built to serve not just specialty coffee, but also an all-day menu featuring Asian fusion café delights. 🍳
The decor is a mix of Scandinavian and modern Victorian, with tinted mirror walls and wooden accents. 🪵 We had the 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮, which we assume is their take on the café staple - Aglio Olio. The pasta is cooked nicely with a nice garlicky aroma. The polenta chip is an interesting addition, giving the dish a slight crunch. 🧄 The 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝘀𝗮 𝗢𝗿𝘇𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮 is more like a risotto but has a strong familiar flavour of 𝘭𝘢𝘬𝘴𝘢 spice, which is pretty good! 🥘 The 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 & 𝗖𝗮𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲 is an interesting addition for a café. The chicken is moist, but we’re expecting more “𝘸𝘰𝘬 𝘩𝘦𝘺” when it comes to fried rice. 🍳
As expected of a specialty coffee bar, the drinks are gorgeously presented! The 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗮 is served in a deep green colour, but the combination is not quite our cup of tea. 😂

Dawn Cafe Singapore
We tried coming down for the past two days, but it was insanely packed with good reasoning. The coffee aroma was simply irresistible and we’re suckers for a good cup of joe. Although tiny, the space has a comforting vibe that is welcoming.
We had the 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 which is brewed with a natural-processed. It’s mesmerising to see how meticulous our barista Firdaus was. Although the milk was a bit flat for our preference, the brightness and sweet flavour of blueberries were such a joy! ☕️ We had the 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗯 alongside as well, which is slightly crunchy with the distinct syrupy sweetness of fresh apples! 🍎 If you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle, do make it a point to come here for your next coffee run.
