🇫🇷 Musée Carnavalet - History of Paris
#europetrip
Musée Carnavalet is a beautiful museum and worth exploring for its beautiful exhibits from medieval times to the Revolution. If you are a history buff, this place is for you! What’s even better is that it provides free entry to permanent exhibit. The space is really huge and is a bit of a maze which visitors could easily spend hours here. It would also be worth it even just for the salvaged signage in the first few rooms! No regrets visiting Musée Carnavalet!

A Journey Through Time: Exploring Guizhou Ethnical Cultural Museum
#chinatrip #guizhou #museum#cultures
Our visit to the Guizhou Ethical Cultural Musuem was an unforgettable dive into the rich heritage of Guizhou. As one of Guiyang’s three national first-class museums, its grand architecture, inspired by the iconic "drum tower" of the Dong ethnic group, sets the tone for the treasures within. Guizhou, home to 17 ethnic minorities alongside the Han, unfolds its diverse history here, where every exhibit whispers stories of ancient traditions and cultural fusion. Stepping inside felt like traveling through time, encountering centuries-old craftsmanship and artistry.
The third-floor gallery, “Beauty Beyond Words,” captivated us with its breathtaking displays of Miao silverwork, textiles, and musical instruments, each piece radiating the skill and spirit of its creators. From festive customs to intricate architectural models, every corner of the museum is a celebration of history’s depth and cultural brilliance. Under the soft glow of display lights, the timeless beauty of Guizhou’s ethnic heritage left us inspired and enchanted.

A fantastic day at Nara National Museum, Nara, Japan 🇯🇵
#japantrip
Nara National Museum is a museum that mainly exhibits Buddhist works of art. Its main structure is divided into the main hall (main exhibition hall), the affiliated hall of the museum, the East New Hall, the West New Hall and the underground cloister. Among them, the main building was built on the basis of the Akasaka Imperial Palace designed by the court architect Katayamayama in 1894 (Meiji 27). In addition to the general works of art on display, the museum also often hosts precious items for various temples in Nara Prefecture. Every autumn, the "Zhengcang Academy Exhibition" will be held regularly. In 1980, the Buddhist Art Information Research Center was newly built in the museum, which is responsible for the creation, collection, collation and preservation of Buddhist art-related materials.

#100WAYS TO TRAVEL #museum #museum #acientcity
The largest outdoor history museum was established in 1963 by Mr. Lek Viriyahphant and his wife. The carving art of each historical building here is really exquisite. Both the exterior architecture and the internal structure are quite unique. Siam The 76 House Park in the ancient city occupies a large area. You can spend a whole day playing there. There are Thai-style buildings everywhere that are easy to take pictures!
The park is vast, so be sure to rent a bicycle or golf cart to easily explore it. There are also shuttle buses available in the park.
The quality of hotels in Siam Old Town is very good! The room is spacious, the swimming pool is clean and there is a sauna. Although there is no restaurant nearby, you can order Grab!
Incredible art
They have many beautiful paintings inside. We spent almost the whole day exploring all the galleries. The museum itself is quite serene, making it perfect for taking a break from the busy city life of Singapore. With artwork spread over two adjacent historical buildings, which were well designed to be connected, comfy and educational.
Joining the free tour was helpful as it provided a background narrative on how the art pieces were organised, making the visit, a walk down memory lane of South East Asia from 1900s through to the present, beautifully illustrated by masterpieces of those times

🖼️Fun & Learning At TMAG!🖼️
The Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery was fun too. We went there after the Salamanca Markets. We got to see a variety of things from beautiful painted portraits to learning about the expeditions to Antartctica! Cuddly and I are from the Arctic, which is literally on the other side, but we wouldn't mind seeing Antarctica one day. I mean, it looks identical to home, just different residents!🐧
There was also a meditation room that mummy took a photo of, which had colourful screens of stars and galaxies. That and background music combined is like something out of the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. Beautiful visual with strange music.
We touched some ice that was brought in directly from Antarctica, and boy was it cold! Just how we like it! We had a chat with a lovely little girl while there, who is very smart with a vivid imagination. Imagination is always a good thing to have especially in museums. Everyone who visits Hobart should come here. It's interesting and fun!

Erlitou Site Museum of the Xia Capital - demystifying China’s first dynasty
#traveldiaries
Was China's first recorded dynasty, the Xia (C.2070-C.1600BC), actually real? Although ancient histories recorded its existence, a lack of hard archeological evidence lead to divided opinions among scholars around the world.
Discovered in 1959 by historian Xu Xusheng, the Erlitou Ruins in Luoyang, Central China's Henan Province, are about 3,500 to 3,800 years old, dating them to the time period of the late Xia or early Shang Dynasty (C.1600-1046BC). The current predominant theory among Chinese archaeologists is that the site was a capital city during the middle to late Xia Dynasty. Over the past 60 years, archaeologists have excavated more than 10,000 items from the 40,000-square-meter site.
These have served as highly valuable resources for crucial academic studies on topics such as the beginning of Chinese civilization and the rise of kingships in ancient China. Erlitou museum was opened in 2019 during the 69th anniversary its discovery. The popular display includes a replica of the Turquoise-inlaid Dragon-shaped Bronze Object, which the public has dubbed a "super national treasure." As well as the turquoise inlaid bronze plate.
Highly recommend for people who are interested in China ancient history and archaeology!

Visit this Place and You Will Never Regret it! 🇨🇳
#traveldiaries
Wow 🤩. This was not included in our scenic spot stops but our driver somehow stopped here and we’re glad he did because it became one of the best scenic spot we have ever been in Turpan.
The entire area is massive, there is an indoor one and the rest is just outdoor kind of museum. You get into a shuttle car and you get driven to a valley where in you see some earthen houses, rivers and even some resident s doing their own daily normal life.
Make sure ti visit this place while in Turpan.
How to come here: we just rented a car and a driver for a day and visited 5 scenic spots for 350 rmb . The rate depends on how many scenic spots you will visit and how far they are. Ask your hostel or hotel to help you book this. Trip is also selling tickets for this place.

Topkapi Palace: the Ottoman Sultan's grand residence 🇹🇷
#traveldiaries
Set on top of the most visible hill of Istanbul, Topkapi Palace, is the symbol of the city. This lavish palace was the royal residence of the Ottoman empire for almost 400 years. Here, you can peek into the imperial life of the sultans as you wander through the grand courtyards, pavilions and ceremonial rooms that display an impressive collection of artefacts and treasures.
It was built in 1461 by Mehmet the Conqueror and remained both the symbolic and political home of the Ottoman Empire until Sultan Abdülmecid I moved the imperial retinue to Dolmabahçe Palace in 1853. During the four centuries in between, it hosted 22 different Sultans and their families.
It was converted into a museum after the fall of the Ottoman Empire and the creation of the Turkish Republic in 1924 and is a must-see for any tourist visiting Istanbul. It is made up of four different courtyards and various exhibitions such as the treasury, weapons, watch collection, kaftans, portraits, and sacred relics of prophets.
