Atmosphere/Location - The atmosphere is very nice, and the owner is very welcoming. We passed by this restaurant on a rainy night after returning from the Sumida River and wanted something hot to eat, so we stopped by. It turned out to be very delicious. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't allow us to order more as it was about to close. They only accept cash. The owner is very chatty.
Highlight - Original ramen with broth, the soup is very fragrant.

I started with a refreshing bowl of miso soup, followed by a platter of assorted sushi and sashimi. The sushi was perfectly balanced, with the rice soft and the fish incredibly fresh. The sashimi melted in my mouth, each slice a burst of flavor.
To complete my meal, I indulged in a bowl of ramen. The rich, flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and tender chashu pork were simply divine.

This Japanese-style restaurant located in Tuen Mun has good quality food, and the environment should be quite Japanese-style! The entrance already has a Japanese garden style, great for taking pictures!
In terms of ramen🍜, the dried mussel crab white soup ramen and light sauce duck soup ramen are quite attractive. Dried mussels and crab white soup ramen, the soup is sweet and rich, full of dried mussels and crab freshness; light sauce duck soup ramen, the flavor of duck meat. The ramen noodles are soft and firm.

Queueing for Ramen
It was actually raining today, but we still made it to a highly rated ramen shop nearby. The ramen was one of the best I’ve ever had, but we may have overdone it by ordering large bowls, and by the end, we were feeling stuffed. It rained the entire day, but we still managed to grab some coffee, visit Hōkan-ji, yakiniku ulit, and even enjoy some dessert.

Hype
I feel I have eaten much better ramen elsewhere or even at other ichiran branches. All this queuing and hyping up silly things is beyond my understanding. The service is good and fast. However, the booths are small and narrow, quite uncomfortable, coming from a petite person.
The ramen I had in Kobe is soooo much better - rich in broth, more generous in cha siu pork, and cheaper in price. We can say trying it once is enough. The service is okay, not as good as other restaurants we previously visited in Japan. And the environment - tight in seats and definitely not a place to mingle or relax.

Great Ramen Place
This was not only a great ramen spot. The owner was so nice to talk to. To tell you a bit about him, the owner chef is a former executive chef of a high-end restaurant in Australia, and previously worked at the Sydney Opera House. That was impressive.
As for the ramen, the noodles was in an appetizing shrimp and Oyster seafood soup. The soup was refreshingly soothing and was not salty as well. The whole meal was satisfyingly scrumptious and it just hit the spot. There are vegan options as well. I recommend booking or going early to get your spot, and watching it being prepped at the bar .

Delicious food , great atmosphere , friendly upbeat staff. Best ramen I had. Loved their message behind why they opened to really lovely and cater towards lots of different eating requirements such as allergies/ veggie etc. The food is excellent and the staff very nice and friendly. Try the vegan options, they are fantastic.
Add some kelp vinegar and chilly Gin and off you go. There was a wait though we arrived at 7 pm and waited 15 minutes for a table, others waited 30 mins. But they give you a ticket and call your number when your table is ready.

Finally got to try ippudo ramen after my third trip to Japan. Had try it at Changi airport but this is the actual store. The ramen taste is a lot better. Stronger broth and actual feels of eating ramen. The staff were helpful and very loud. They greet us once we entered. Before we left, they also said goodbye. Will want to try their food again

Fukuoka is a must-visit destination when exploring this part of Japan. Kyushu, the prefecture in general is an absolutely amazing place. While, Fukuoka is one of Japan’s major cities, but its laid-back atmosphere can be very nice and unique especially in comparison to cities like Tokyo.
If you’re a food lover, then you should know that Fukuoka, maybe Hakata in specific, is very well known for some food items like Ramen and Gyoza. Ramen is a popular dish throughout Japan and you can find excellent quality noodles almost anywhere. But by nature, it is always unique, so it’s a great idea to see all the variations; so much goes into it! The ramen variation of Fukuoka is amongst the best. And eating along the nakasu river in the night is an experience not to be missed.

Returned home in the Philippines for the Lunar New Year/Chinese New Year, and the first agenda was a staycation at Bonifacio Global City (BGC)
It’s been a lot of years since i visited the area, and a lot of buildings and establishment has been developed, and ofcourse a lot of restaurants scattered in the area.
One of the famous shop here is Mendokoro Ramenba, which serves, ofcourse, Ramen!
The interior design is very chic, with wooden laddles as the design element~ the seats are in bar counter style which encircle the whole kitchen so you can see the chef and his cooks work. The ambience is nice but the food was much nicer, we did enjoy our meal and the 3y/o we have with us nearly demolished a ramen bowl by himself and the plate of gyoza (which was the true hero!)

Rainy days call for hot soupy savoury ramen in Kuala Lumpur! It is a unique Japanese ramen store that is beautifully decorated, feels like we have teleported to Japan! The details were amazing, aesthetic and its giving some hipster vibes! The broths are quite unique whereby you can choose single, double flavours or even triple flavours combination for such: black garlic pork soup, spicy pork soup, basil pork soup and more! The food menu was extensive, ranging from ramen to sides, izakaya to rice meals! Ramen was decent, broth was thick and quite unique (we ordered double flavours combination) and served warm. Gyoza was really juicy and delicious we love it! We also ordered highball drink and it was refreshing!

Perhaps, this is the funkiest ramen place I've ever visited. ULTRAMEN recently opened at Galaxy Mall Surabaya, and the place has already become the talk of the town – and I can see why. The comic aesthetics combined with the Japanese pop icon, Ultraman, have become their selling point. The ramen itself was nearly perfect for my liking. Al dente noodles with a thick chicken broth are simply delicious, and their roasted chicken was very tender too. The place was kind of crowded during the weekend, but we didn't have to wait long to get seated.

Next on our itinerary was the renowned Marinoa City Fukuoka, a paradise for shopaholics. This sprawling outlet offered an extensive selection of stores, fulfilling our shopping cravings. We indulged in retail therapy, finding great bargains and adding fashionable pieces to our wardrobes.
Of course, a trip to Fukuoka wouldn't be complete without savoring its delectable cuisine. The city boasted a culinary scene that tantalized our taste buds. We couldn't resist the allure of authentic ramen and succulent yakiniku, which left us craving for more. Each culinary adventure was a gastronomic delight, allowing us to delve into the rich flavors and culinary traditions of Fukuoka.
Our exploration extended beyond Fukuoka to the charming city of Kumamoto, known for its ubiquitous mascot, Kumamon. Everywhere we turned, we were greeted by the adorable bear, spreading happiness and cuteness. Kumamoto's vibrant atmosphere and the endearing presence of Kumamon created a cheerful ambiance that resonated with our family.
One highlight of our visit to Kumamoto was the Kumamon Port in Yatsushiro. This haven for Kumamon enthusiasts showcased larger-than-life statues of the beloved character, beckoning us to capture memorable photos. It was a paradise for Kumamon fans, and we reveled in the joyous atmosphere that surrounded us.
Despite encountering heavy rain during our visit to Aso, we remained undeterred in our pursuit of adventure. Aso's renowned night scene, adorned with a blanket of stars, eluded us due to the inclement weather. However, we made the most of our time by exploring the Aso Volcano Museum, immersing ourselves in the captivating history and geology of the region. It was a unique experience that deepened our understanding of the natural wonders that shape our world.
Our journey concluded with a visit to Nabegataki Falls Park, where we encountered a breathtaking waterfall. What made this experience truly special was the ability to walk inside the cascading waters, allowing us to embrace nature's grandeur up close. It was a thrilling and refreshing encounter that invigorated our spirits.
As we bid farewell to Fukuoka, we reflected on the multitude of experiences that made this family trip extraordinary. From the vibrant floral landscapes of Nokoshima Island Park to the culinary delights of Fukuoka and the endearing charm of Kumamoto, each destination left an indelible mark on our heart.

Whilst in Japan, I met some amazing people from around the world!! Fun fact, I'm travelling to Finland next year to visit a good friend I made in Japan, how exciting 🤩
I visited the Shaun the Sheep farm which was so fun and cute 🫶 but the weather was extremely and humid 🤧 fortunately I had a sun umbrella, I may have died that day otherwise!! Highly recommend getting a sun umbrella if you happen to visit Japan in the summer!

Late-Night Delights in Asakusa
It was quite late when we arrived in Tokyo from Osaka; thus, when we went to the neighboring Asakusa, the stalls along Nakamise-dori were mostly closed. Nevertheless, the vibe surrounding Senso-ji was really charming, and there were so many food options nearby. Some of them were among the best in town; we had the best affordable charcoal grilled unagi at Unatoto and ramen at the famous Ichiran. We'll surely go there earlier when we visit Japan next year to explore more.

Tonkotsu King Four Seasons showcased a creative menu, with each ramen named after the seasons - Winter, Summer, Spring, and Autumn. All of which had different variations to the broth and toppings
They even had complimentary free-flow bean sprouts and boiled eggs, allowing guests to customize their ramen bowls. They even provided sesame seeds for guests to grind themselves, enhancing the flavors and adding a personal touch to the meal.
I opted for the Summer Tonkotsu, featuring succulent pork slices in a rich garlic-infused broth. The flavors were perfectly balanced, resulting in a heavenly combination that left me craving for more.
While the prices may be slightly higher for budget eaters, Tonkotsu King Four Seasons is worth every penny for ramen enthusiasts. The quality ingredients, meticulous preparation, and unique menu make it a standout among other ramen establishments.

Shilin Night Market
Came here after our hike on Yang Ming Shan to get our dinner fix. Hungry as hell we are. We chanced upon this particular Japanese ramen shop which looks pretty good and got the popular feels. There was not much queue at the time we arrived. Only about 5 person ahead of us. After about 10 mins later, a snake had formed behind us and we know we are at the right place. Initially, we wanted to share 1 bowl so we can eat more around the night market later but we then realised during ordering that it is mandatory for each person to order one bowl to dine in. We end up being quite full and so hardly get to snack much later.

Oranjii is a buffet restaurant that you shouldn't miss 😋.
Oranjii - Japanese yakiniku & shabu never disappoints! This time, I tried their Tier 999+ and they added more menu items than before! The food menu is extensive with 140 dishes to choose from. The quality of the meat is still the same and the presentation is beautiful. They even added sushi, sashimi, and fresh food to the menu.
I highly recommend trying this place at least once if you haven't already. You can even request for thicker or thinner slices of meat. This place is definitely worth a visit! 😲
The quality and taste of the food remain the same, but they have added premium menu items at prices starting from 399+ to 1,999+. You can enjoy the food for 2 hours.
