The travel day was quite nerve-wracking as we were unsure if it would rain. It rained the entire way while crossing the border, but as we entered Paksong, the roads were filled with fog. Passing by the highest coffee plantations, the weather was extremely cold, very different from the city of Pakse where it was sunny with a bit of rain. Upon arrival, it did not disappoint. I rode a Wave motorcycle following Phuri's trail to Pakse. I visited a cafe that used to be an old power plant during the war in 1971, back when the French ruled Laos. The walls are covered with bullet holes, bomb damage, remnants of fighter planes, and weapons from the war era displayed as decorations. It's super cool.
