It’s a school holiday! So, I’m travelling to Alor Setar, Kedah. I’m staying at Grand Alora Hotel in Bandar Baru Mergong. By staying at this hotel, we can get free parking for guest. Got some facilities like spa, swimming pool and gym but currently the facilities are all under maintenance. The hotel also is facing with Lotus’ Mall and got street stalls in front of the hotel 🍗🌯🍜 Furthermore, we can get affordable breakfast buffet, ADULT (RM20) & KIDS (RM10). As we booked with no breakfast included. So we pay for that price during check in. However, the receptionist said that the price will become RM25 (adult) for walk in. So please confirm first during check in. Don’t worry girls! The iron and board prepared in each room!! And don’t worry boys! The room also has a fridge so you guys can buy carbonate drink! Wihiii~ My room also got table for work and I’m glad because I’m currently WFH 👩‍💻. What’s amazing is, you may get the view of paddy field! The staffs are also friendly and very helpful. They give well explanations to our inquiry. Staying here for the first time due to the convenient location. From front desk services to hotel amenities, there are huge improvement needs to be done. Address - No 1, Kompleks Perniagaan Pintu 10, Jalan Pintu Sepuluh, Kampung Lubok Peringgi, 05100 Alor Setar, Kedah Ambiance/Facilities - Limited parking slots at the basement, there is no electrical outlet at the bedside, which is very inconvenient. Only 2 charging port in the room. The shower head needs to be cleaned or be replaced as it is worn out and rusty. Front desk staff is not as friendly and abit impatient. No wardrobe and the hanging place is a a bit odd. Tower has a weird odour. Highlights - Quick overnight stay for business trip is acceptable for they price they charged. Avg. After so long, I’m arrived at one of the best cendol in Alor Setar which is OLALA CENDOL & LAKSA. During my study time, me and my friends always goes to this place. Our favourite! You can find many type of cendol here! Even got laksa, bihun sup, nasi ayam, pulut ayam and many more!! The stalls located at the side street, in Mergong area. Don’t worry the price is not expensive and affordable. You can even get a big bowl of cendol (mix flavour)!! A must try food is their laksa (don’t forget to add ‘Otak Udang’). It is so nice! The environment is very standard and in a hot weather, you can enjoy your cool cendol with ease. Their staffs also are very friendly.
