Souvenirs Heaven: My Shopping Adventure at Namdaemun Market!
#travelshopping
My visit to Namdaemun Market in Seoul was a shopping adventure like no other! The market was bustling with energy, and the colorful stalls were packed with amazing local souvenirs. From traditional Korean crafts and cute trinkets to stylish accessories, there was so much to choose from—I couldn’t stop browsing!
I also loved exploring the fruit stalls. The fresh fruits were bright and juicy, and I couldn’t resist tasting sweet Korean pears and perfectly ripe strawberries. Everything was delicious!
The lively atmosphere and endless treasures made shopping at Namdaemun Market so much fun. It’s the perfect spot to find unique souvenirs and enjoy a taste of Seoul’s vibrant market life!

Temu personified
Overwhelmingly design, random pop-ups, endless choices, and unbelievably low prices. It’s the shopping experience we expect from big Chinese online stores, but never an experience I thought I’d have in real life- until I stepped into ‘脑子进水文创店’ in Dali’s old town.
You’re faced with the shop’s quirks as soon as you see it. Above the entrance there’s a selection of performers who continuously swap out after doing short dances. I’m not sure how to describe the dances other than reminiscent of strange pop-up ads you might have got for niche Chinese products. I assume they’re references to Chinese memes or pop culture, but as a foreigner they were just fun to watch.
Inside you’re hit with the store’s bright blue walls and seemingly infinite corridors and corners. They mainly sell small souvenirs or accessories, with most things under 10 yuan, but the range of products really feels endless.
Even if you don’t plan on buying anything, if you’re in Dali’s old town I’d definitely recommend a quick look around the shop (find it on Huguo Road!). The whole experience was a weirdness I think I’d only find in China.

Munich shopping therapy 🗺️
#travelshopping
Shopping in Munich was such a fun experience! 🛍️ I started at Marienplatz, the heart of the city, where the beautiful New Town Hall sets a grand backdrop for the surrounding stores. From there, I strolled down Kaufingerstraße, one of Munich’s busiest shopping streets, filled with everything from H&M to high-end brands. No entrance fees—just lots of exploring!
One of my favorite stops was the famous Oberpollinger department store, offering luxury fashion, cosmetics, and a gourmet food section that was almost too tempting! Nearby, Viktualienmarkt was a must-visit; this historic market has been selling fresh produce, flowers, and local delicacies since the 1800s. I couldn’t resist grabbing some cheese and pretzels to enjoy later.
After a day of shopping, I relaxed in the English Garden, only a short tram ride away. It’s the perfect spot to unwind with my new purchases and enjoy Munich’s laid-back vibe. Shopping in Munich is an ideal mix of style, culture, and history—definitely coming back for round two!

I love shopping in Prague 🏙️
#travelshopping
Prague is a shopping paradise with something for every taste! 🛍️ From luxury boutiques to quirky markets, I explored it all, starting at Palladium Mall near Náměstí Republiky. With 200+ stores, it had everything I needed under one roof. Then I ventured to Pařížská Street, where upscale shops like Gucci and Prada line the boulevard. Just window shopping here felt like a treat!
For unique finds, Havelské tržiště (Havel’s Market) was incredible, with handmade crafts, souvenirs, and delicious local treats. I even bought a few traditional Czech marionettes to take home! After shopping, I wandered through Old Town Square, just a short walk away, and soaked up the atmosphere.
In the evening, I took a break along the Vltava River with a coffee, watching the sun set over Charles Bridge. Shopping in Prague was a perfect mix of history and modern vibes—can’t wait to come back!

Trip to Seoul 🇰🇷
It was a shopping trip with sisters to Seoul, Korea. We started our trip at Insadong, a bustling neighborhood blending modern and traditional elements. Insadong’s main street is lined with art galleries, antique shops, and craft stores selling ceramics, handmade paper📄 , and local teas 🍵 . It’s the perfect place to grab souvenirs, but what made it memorable was the photo ops 📸 We explored Ssamziegil, a colorful, open-air shopping complex with unique architecture where you can capture vibrant, quirky shots from the various floors and rooftop garden.
📍44 Insadong-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul
A must-visit for anyone in Seoul, Myeongdong is a shopping paradise with countless stores and brand outlets on both sides of the street. We visited in the afternoon to catch the vibrant crowd and colorful 🌈 displays, but evening is also ideal as the lights add a magical glow to the area. It’s the ultimate destination for skincare and cosmetics, where brands like Innisfree, Etude House, and Laneige all have flagship stores. We also tried various street foods like the delicious hotteok and tteokbokki, adding a savory taste to our shopping adventure. You’ll want to snap some shots 📸 with the lively street vendors and the neon-lit storefronts!
📍Myeongdong-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul
We also explored Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), which is more than just a shopping location! It’s an architectural marvel. Known for its futuristic design by Zaha Hadid, the DDP is perfect for creative photoshoots. We recommend visiting in the late afternoon and staying until evening when the LED roses light up the plaza, creating a romantic and surreal vibe. DDP is home to fashion shops, exhibitions, and markets. The LED rose garden, especially, is breathtaking and a great backdrop for unforgettable photos 📸
📍281 Eulji-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul
Lastly, we also visited Garosu-gil in Sinsa-dong, a trendy neighborhood with picturesque, tree-lined 🌳 streets and stylish boutiques. Here, we found international brands and unique, high-end Korean fashion labels. The cafes ☕️ are particularly charming, with their chic interiors and cozy outdoor seating, making it ideal for Instagram-worthy photos 📸 One recommendation: arrive around late morning to avoid the heavy afternoon crowd, which gives you the chance to capture this beautiful street in the best lighting.

Mall of The World Guangzhou: Saturated Shopping Experience
#travelshopping
Mall of the World is one of the most popular shopping malls, which is located in the heart of Guangzhou. If you decide to walk around the central square of Guangzhou, right among dozens of skyscrapers, then going down to the lower level you will find that right under the park there is a huge shopping center with many restaurants and cafes.
Address: 74 Huacheng Square, Huangpu Dadao West/天河区黄埔大道道西74号花城汇 (It is located under a large square next to the IFC Tower).
Mall of The World offers varieties of entertainment for different categories of visitors starting from regular cafeterias and ending up by ultra modern cinema. Well, you can find well known brands there, as well as start ups offering exclusive and luxury services with modern art approach for serving client needs. My recommendation is to come here for whole day to get enjoyed this particularly outstanding place and its featured services on full scale. This is not the place for rush, but, instead, for relax styled shopping and dinning. As shopping area, this Mall offers access to broad range of world recognizable brands and, furthermore, introduces new players on the arena of shopping where you can find truly and undoubtedly unique goods or masterpieces. Foddies can discover a number of canteens with well balanced taste of dishes or something unique as this place itself. Just come here and try one by one delicious food from different restaurants in the designated area.
It is difficult to describe the style of this place in a few words due to the mixture of varieties of styles in fact, but I can simply characterize it as modern art with pop focus. Seriously, this place is a real paradise for shopping tours. Honestly, I became a regular!

Zara lovers I gotcha back!!! Barcelona Shopping Spree: Where Fashion Meets Great Deals
Did You Know? Zara and Pull & Bear are from Spain!
