Perfect Guide to Grindelwald, a Fairytale Village 2 Hours from Bern.
Introducing Grindelwald, the true gem of the Alps. It takes about 2 hours by train from Bern Central Station to Grindelwald. You can take a train from Bern to Interlaken Ost, and then transfer to the Bernese Oberland Railway (BOB) to reach Grindelwald. Grindelwald is a beautiful mountain village located in the canton of Bern, situated at an altitude of 1,034 meters. The train journey from Interlaken to Grindelwald offers breathtaking Alpine scenery.
Grindelwald is a natural tourist destination surrounded by the majestic Alpine peaks of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. Known as the 'Glacier Village', it is one of the oldest and most famous mountain resorts in Switzerland. At the First viewpoint, you can enjoy the stunning Alpine views through the thrilling Cliff Walk structure. Hiking and mountain biking are popular activities in the summer, while skiing and snowboarding are favorites in the winter.
What impressed me the most during my visit was the pure Alpine atmosphere that permeates the entire village. The picturesque Swiss chalets, green meadows, and white snowy mountains create a scene straight out of a fairytale. The view from the First gondola ride is unforgettable. Don't miss the experience of enjoying local cheese fondue while gazing at the Alps. However, be sure to check the weather before your visit, as the viewpoint's opening status may vary depending on the weather.
A Special Day at The Hyundai Seoul, Yeouido's New Landmark
Getting to The Hyundai Seoul from Seoul Station is very simple. Take Line 1 from Seoul Station and transfer to Line 5 at City Hall Station, then get off at Yeouido Station. When using public transportation, it is most convenient to use Yeouido Station on Line 5 or Line 9. If you are driving, you can use the underground parking lot, where the first 30 minutes are free, and then a parking fee of 2,000 KRW per 10 minutes applies.
The Hyundai Seoul is more than just a shopping space; it is a lifestyle complex cultural space. It boasts a massive scale, extending from 7 floors underground to 8 floors above ground, with impressive indoor landscaping and nature-friendly space design. Each floor has uniquely themed rest areas where you can relax between shopping. Especially notable is the 'Sounds Forest' on the first basement floor, a space that reinterprets the concept of an indoor garden, which is loved by many visitors.
What impressed me the most during my visit was the Christmas Pavilion set up as a pop-up store. It tends to be crowded on weekends, so if you want to look around leisurely, I recommend visiting on weekdays. Additionally, with various gourmet restaurants in the basement food court and the rooftop relaxation area, it is a place where you won't get bored even if you stay all day. However, during peak seasons or weekends, the parking lot can be very crowded, so it is advisable to use public transportation if possible.
Ninenzaka: Where Tradition Meets Modernity, A Perfect Guide from Starbucks to Wagashi
Let me introduce you to the beautiful traditional street of Kyoto, Ninenzaka (二年坂). Located in the Higashiyama district, a bit far from Kyoto Station, there are two main ways to get there. The first is to take the city bus number 206 and get off at the Kiyomizumichi (清水道) stop. The second is to take the Keihan train from Kyoto Station and get off at Kiyomizu-Gojo Station, then walk. It's especially popular because it's on the way to Kiyomizu-dera (清水寺), making it a frequent stop for tourists visiting the temple.
Ninenzaka is a traditional stone stairway street that has been preserved since the Edo period. Meaning 'Two-Year Slope,' it, along with Sannenzaka (三年坂), is one of the most well-preserved historical streets in Kyoto. The traditional houses lining the street retain the architectural styles of the Edo and Meiji periods. The area is home to various traditional shops, including confectionery stores, pottery shops, and kimono rental stores. Recently, it has become even more famous with the opening of the Yasaka Chaya Starbucks, which is housed in a renovated traditional house.
I took a leisurely walk through Ninenzaka. Slowly climbing the stone steps and admiring the traditional houses on either side was a truly unique experience. Seeing tourists and locals in kimonos walking through the street made it feel like a journey back in time. The taste of wagashi enjoyed with hojicha from a traditional confectionery store was unforgettable. Visiting in the late afternoon, there were fewer tourists, allowing me to enjoy the atmosphere of the street even more.
The Majesty of Japan's Largest Wooden Structure: A Complete Guide to Higashi Honganji
Introducing the grand temple of Kyoto, Higashi Honganji (東本願寺). Higashi Honganji is located very close to Kyoto Station! It takes about 10 minutes on foot from the central exit of Kyoto Station. As you walk north along Karasuma Street (烏丸通), you will see the magnificent temple building. It is one of the largest Buddhist temples near Kyoto Station, making it very easy to find. There are also well-placed signs along the road to help tourists find their way.
Higashi Honganji is the head temple of the Jodo Shinshu (浄土真宗) sect, established in 1602. The main hall, 'Goeido (御影堂),' is one of the largest wooden structures in Japan, and its scale is truly overwhelming. There is no admission fee, so anyone can visit freely. Inside the temple, there is also the Amida Hall (阿弥陀堂), where Buddhist ceremonies are often held. It is open from 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM (hours may vary by season), so you can visit at any time of the day.
Visiting after lunch, the sight of the temple bathed in the warm midday sun was very impressive. Just strolling through the spacious grounds and admiring the grand architecture was a special experience. In the large courtyard in front of the main hall, you can see local elders gathered in small groups, chatting. The interior of the temple is cool and quiet, making it a great place for a moment of meditation. Sitting in the tatami room of the main hall, where you need to take off your shoes, you can feel a sense of calm.
The Most Beautiful Beach in Hawaii Loved by Obama
Location: Kailua Beach (73H4C746+6C)
Atmosphere/Facilities: A place with a large emerald-colored sea and very fine, white sand. There are also free shower facilities.
Key Points: It's great to bring a mat and some food to enjoy the view under the shade. On the day I visited, the waves were too high for swimming, so people were just standing in the water and playing with the waves.
Rating: The best beach I've seen in Hawaii ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

📌 First Cauldron Sundaeguk
⏰ 9:00~21:00
📍 358 Gilju-ro, Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do
With the first snow falling and the weather getting colder, you might be craving some hot soup. First Cauldron Sundaeguk, located in Wonmi-dong, Bucheon, sells sundaeguk with a rich broth that has been simmered in a steamed cauldron for 8 hours.
The broth is really rich and milky, and it is a good place to have a hearty meal because it is full of garnishes.
The sundaeguk has a lot of daedaegi, but it is not spicy and has a clean and light taste. It was a little late, so there were no customers in the store, but there were quite a few people taking it out. It feels like a real restaurant that many locals visit, so it would be good for those looking for a good noodle restaurant in Wonmi-dong, Bucheon.

Vatican Museum Complete Guide: History, Highlights, and Reviews
The Vatican Museum is easily accessible from the center of Rome by metro. The most common way is to take Metro Line A (Orange Line) from Rome Termini Station and get off at 'Ottaviano-San Pietro' station. From there, it's about a 5-10 minute walk to the entrance of the Vatican Museum. If you prefer to take the bus, Bus 49 stops right in front of the museum entrance, and Buses 32, 81, and 982 also drop you off nearby. If you take a taxi, it takes about 10-15 minutes from the center of Rome, and the location is on 'Viale Vaticano'. The route is so straightforward that even first-time visitors won't have any trouble finding it!
The Vatican Museum, established by Pope Julius II in the 16th century, houses some of the world's most important artworks and artifacts. The museum consists of 54 galleries, with the Sistine Chapel featuring Michelangelo's ceiling frescoes and Raphael's 'The School of Athens' being particularly famous. This place is not just for viewing art; it's a space where you can see the history and culture of the Roman Catholic Church and the masterpieces of the Renaissance era all in one place. It attracts millions of visitors every year and is considered one of the most beloved museums worldwide.
The Vatican Museum exceeded my expectations! From the entrance, you can feel the grandeur, and once inside, it's an overwhelming feast of art. I was especially moved by the Sistine Chapel's ceiling frescoes; it was a breathtaking experience. Although it was a bit crowded due to its popularity, the lively energy was palpable. I highly recommend booking tickets online in advance to avoid long lines. If you're short on time, it's a good idea to plan your visit around the main galleries and the chapel.

The interior of the museum is quite diverse and the building is very impressive.
There are two sections, A and B, and in section B, you can see everything from the history and process of beer to the inside of the factory.👍🏻
After touring section B, it is connected to a restaurant where you can taste beer and purchase simple snacks to enjoy. :)
I highly recommend visiting when you go to Qingdao‼️

Reasons to Visit Barcelona
The main reason to visit Barcelona is undoubtedly to see the Sagrada Familia.
Barcelona without the Sagrada Familia is unimaginable, making it a must-visit destination.
Even without any prior knowledge, it's worth visiting, but it's also recommended to take a guided tour to get detailed explanations.
Taking the lift up allows you to enjoy a view of the city and see the sculptures up close at the top.
What about breakfast in Japan? At Komeda Coffee~~.
Now a fairly well-known Japanese cafe brand, Komeda Coffee.
It seems like it's been 5-6 years since I first visited Komeda Coffee before the COVID-19 pandemic.
If you visit before 11 AM, you can enjoy a hearty breakfast with a thick toast and spread for the price of a cup of coffee, so I used to go there often.
As the delicious and cost-effective items started to gain word-of-mouth popularity, it seems to have become a famous breakfast spot for travelers.
The exterior and interior of this coffee shop, which started in Nagoya in 1968, seem to have remained almost unchanged. Each seat is partitioned, making it perfect for enjoying your own coffee time.
The morning service is a cafe culture that originated in the Nagoya region of Japan, where a simple breakfast is provided for free when you order a drink in the morning. The boom of Komeda Coffee might have started with the morning menu.
The morning menu can be ordered until 11 AM, and if you order a drink, toast and spread are served together. If you only order a drink, the toast is provided for free.
Blend coffee is 500 yen (seems to be less than 300ml). If you order the 'Tappuri' size, they serve the blend coffee in a large cup. It's about 1.5 times the amount, so it's over 400ml, which was just right (600 yen).
Komeda Coffee is also very famous for the taste of its coffee. Although it is roasted with a strong roast, it has a savory and rich taste different from Starbucks coffee.
After ordering coffee, you choose the bread. You can choose between a roll and a loaf, but I definitely recommend the loaf. The thick loaf tastes very good. Then you choose what to put on the bread among boiled egg, egg paste, and red bean paste. If you choose the loaf, it is served with butter and strawberry jam spread on top.

The 1,500-year-old Ginkgo Tree in Buyeo
Buyeo Juaam-ri Ginkgo Tree
Address: 148-1, 4 Pil, Juaam-ri, Naesan-myeon, Buyeo-gun, Chungnam
Designated as Natural Monument No. 320 in 1982. Height: 23m, Circumference: 9m.
According to legend, it was planted by Lord Maeng around 538 AD when the capital was moved to Sabi. The tree is estimated to be about 1,500 years old.
Villagers consider the tree sacred as it is believed to have protected the village from epidemics.
Whenever the Baekje, Silla, and Goryeo kingdoms fell, the tree was said to be entwined with kudzu vines, signaling the downfall. During the Goryeo period, it is said that the abbot of Seunggaksa Temple tried to use the tree's branches for the temple's main beam but died on the spot, and the temple fell into ruin.
Every January, villagers hold a ritual in front of the tree, praying for a bountiful harvest and blessings.
Next to the ginkgo tree is a 45-year-old descendant tree, planted out of concern that the old tree might die.
The Sacred Millennium Ginkgo Tree Awaits Next Year..
Geumsan Boseoksa Temple. Ginkgo Tree.
Address: San 5, Seokdong-ri, Nam-myeon, Geumsan-gun, Chungnam.
Inquiries: 041 753 1523
Founded by Monk Jogu during the Silla period. The temple is named Boseoksa because the Buddha statue was cast with gold mined from the mountain in front of the temple during its founding.
At the entrance of the temple, there is a ginkgo tree over a thousand years old, standing 34 meters tall and with a circumference of 10.72 meters. It is said that Monk Jogu planted six ginkgo trees in a circle with his five disciples to symbolize the Six Perfections (Paramitas) in Buddhism, which represent the practice of virtue.
In 1945, 1950, and 1992, the tree is said to have shaken and wept whenever significant events occurred in the country. Therefore, every October, a ritual is held for the ginkgo tree. It is believed to have a sacred energy that grants one wish, so people hang wish papers and pray before and after the ritual. The ginkgo tree sheds its leaves earlier than others, so it was not seen. In early September, the temple entrance is also adorned with blooming spider lilies, so it is worth a visit. Enjoy free coffee for visitors.
Osaek Cable Car: The Best Way to Enjoy Seorak's Autumn Foliage
South Korea has many famous mountains, but Seoraksan is definitely one of the most notable. Especially from mid-October when the autumn foliage begins, the place is swarming with tourists. The best way to fully enjoy Seorak's autumn colors is by taking the Osaek Cable Car. Tickets are only available on-site and on a first-come, first-served basis, so it's best to go early. Parking is also challenging, so be prepared to hustle.
It took me two attempts to finally get on the cable car. If I had missed it, I would have been really disappointed. The scenery of Seoraksan is absolutely breathtaking! You must try it.

The Beauty of Craftsmanship at Prague Castle, Czech Republic
Inside Prague Castle, there are several buildings, and I had the chance to enter those open to tourists.
While traveling through Europe, I noticed that Europeans are skilled at glass craftsmanship and utilizing light. Personally, after seeing this place, I thought that the Czech Republic is the best at using glass and light.
The colorful light coming through the glass was unbelievably beautiful, making me want to stay there longer. Additionally, you can go to an observatory that offers a panoramic view of Prague from here, so I highly recommend visiting.
Nha Trang's Largest Massage Shop: Grand Spa
Location: Located in downtown Nha Trang
Atmosphere/Facilities: This large massage shop occupies an entire 5-story building, offering plenty of waiting seats and a luxurious ambiance. Both the waiting area and the massage rooms are clean, and the rooms are used exclusively by your party. Each room is equipped with shower facilities, making it convenient to take a quick shower after a desert tour or a hopping tour before getting a massage.
Key Points: If you leave a review after your massage, you'll receive a gift of delicious sweet potato chips, so make sure to get them.
Average Price per Person: Emperor Massage - 90 minutes for $39 / 120 minutes for $42 (Card payments are not accepted, but you can pay in Vietnamese Dong, US Dollars, or via Korean bank transfer)
A Scene from Rapunzel at Cheongsudang in Gyeongju
Location: Near Hwangnam-dong Community Center. If you are driving, it is convenient to use the Hwangnam Cultural Center public parking lot right in front of the cafe. Address: 230-4 Hwangnam-dong, Gyeongju.
Atmosphere/Facilities: The cafe has a small pond and a boat inside, which gives it a mysterious vibe. Watching the lanterns floating on the pond reminds you of a scene from Rapunzel. The lanterns look prettier when they are lit, so I recommend going at dusk. The indoor and outdoor seating is wood-toned, and you can enjoy a beautiful view from any seat, but the seats are a bit close together, so visiting on a weekday will allow you to better appreciate the charm of this cafe. Serene beauty?!
Key Points: The entire cafe is a no-kids zone.
Average Price per Person: Americano 5800, Matcha Cream Milk 7800
Immerse yourself in the traditional Vietnamese atmosphere at the Po Long Jarai Temple.
Location: It is about an hour's drive from Nha Trang city, so it is recommended to visit as part of the Phan Rang Desert Tour package.
Atmosphere/Facilities: Upon arriving at the Po Long Jarai Temple, the first thing you will notice is the serene and mysterious atmosphere. This was my first visit to a traditional Vietnamese temple, and the exotic scenery and architecture were both ancient and unique. The red tiles and bricks of the temple shining in the sunlight were truly beautiful.
Key Points: It is recommended to visit as part of the Phan Rang Desert Tour rather than going individually. If you go individually, the entrance fee is about 20,000 VND (approximately 1,000 KRW). If you want to take the cart, it costs an additional 20,000 VND, but it is worth it as the path is steep. There are many great spots for taking photos, and it is recommended to take pictures on the stairs leading up to the temple when there are no people around.
Holiana Boutique Hotel in Nha Trang for around 10,000 KRW
Location: Conveniently located in the center of Nha Trang city. It's on a main road, so it's not scary to come back at night.
Atmosphere/Facilities: I was worried because it was a cheap hotel, but it was clean. There were no water stains or smells in the bathroom, and there was an elevator. The room condition was much better compared to the entrance. You can store your luggage and early check-in is available. There were reviews about the noise from motorcycles because it's on the main road, but I didn't find it bothersome at all. In fact, the location was so good that I plan to book it again next time.
Key Points: Super cheap and clean, excellent location!!! Bright white-toned rooms. The rooms are small compared to other Vietnamese hotels, but there's no problem opening two suitcases.
Average Price per Person: I booked a night for 18,900 KRW at the end of October.
