Serenity and history intertwine in Kuala Lumpur
#malaysiatrip
One of the most quiet and serene parts of Kuala Lumpur we discovered on our recent trip was actually right at the heart of the city near the city centre!
Strolling along the River of Life river walk near the Central Market and Masjid Jamek on a sunny weekday, there were only a few tourists out and about. That meant we could take our time to snap pictures of the charming buildings without jostling with a crowd, and just take a moment to soak in the scenery. Would love to visit again at night!

Kafei Dian Cafe, great place to hang out with friend for nice local food.
#malaysiatrip#cafe#kl#nasilemak
Recently my friend and I accidentally stumbled across the Kafei Dian Cafe(源昌隆咖啡店) while on the way to another kopitiam(closed on that day) for brunch, the entrance is a little crowded but it’s very spacious on the inside.
This cafe have a wide selection of traditional local food, and the service is literally fast! I really love their Nasi Lemak Ayam Rendang, Soft-boiled Eggs, and Penang Prawn Paste Chee Cheong Fun. We also had a few other things and the drink was good as well especially their Cham (Coffee mixing with Tea), truly aromatic and smooth.
Overall it was a delightful experience, and price is reasonable for KL city centre area, definitely worth for trying!

A Hidden Gem at Cornerstone Community Church
#malaysiatrip
We chanced upon this cafe - Qavah By JS, tucked away on the ground floor of the Cornerstone Community Church, right by a busy road. Despite its unassuming location, it turned out to be a pleasant find.
The decor is simple and minimalistic, with about eight tables—making it a comfortable spot for those looking to work on a laptop or enjoy a quiet meal. While the food menu and cake selection are somewhat limited, we thoroughly enjoyed what we ordered.
The sandwich was flavorful, but our favorite was the bagel with cheese—a hearty and satisfying choice. On the dessert side, the rum and raisin cake was excellent, and the Bailey’s cheesecake was just as delightful. The fruit tart was also enjoyable.
A plus point is the availability of some free parking spaces, which makes visiting more convenient. Overall, a nice little spot worth checking out for a casual meal or coffee break.

An extraordinary Lion Dance performance and CNY display @The Gardens Mall.
#malaysiatrip#cny2025#liondance
The Gardens Mall is known for its upscale shopping experience, featuring a mix of high-end international brands and popular local retailers. Apart of that, its festive display and events also a top notch!
During Chinese New Year, the mall visually stunning design, particularly the recreation of historic Chinese courtyards with lush cherry blossoms and magnolia trees, providing numerous picturesque photo opportunities for visitors.
They also hosts events like High-pole Lion Dance performance and traditional dance. The crowd gasps and cheers as the lions perform intricate maneuvers, such as standing on hind legs, spinning, or even balancing on a single pole, creating a mesmerizing spectacle.
The climax of the performance often involves the lion reaching for a symbolic object, such as a head of lettuce and a red envelope, which is then tossed to the audience, symbolizing the spreading of good fortune.
As the performance concludes, the lions bow to the audience, and the crowd erupts in applause. All the audience included me, are so exhilarating, and truly enjoyed the performances!

Sukiya for the best steamboat at Malaysia🍡🍢
Sukiya in Malaysia are mixed, with some praising its quick service and affordable price for a Japanese-style meal, while others criticize it for being slightly overpriced and not offering a particularly unique or high-quality dining experience compared to other local options, especially when considering the "all-you-can-eat" buffet style; some users on Reddit even consider it "overrated" for the price point.

The best vacation at Kelantan
My first time booking hotel at Kelantan, and its really great. The room is superb. Swimming pool and the cafe was great. They have variety of food, and of course some local choices like nasi dagang and kuih muih. The bed is comfortable. The room has a sizable working desk. The lighting is bright enough. TV has astro channels. Parking is free but has to get the endorsement at the reception. It's adjacent to billion shopping mall. Breakfast buffet is generous but the taste of the food is mediocre only.
