🇳🇿 Taopo - Hot Spring during winter time ❄️
If you are in Auckland and plan to have a road trip, come to Taopo! (3 hours 20 mins drive from Auckland)
You can visit Huka falls and then head to hot springs spa.
We went to this hot spring spa recommended by my local friend. We book through online and got some discount there. We started with the terrace walk which included in the package.
Walk along Te Kiri o Hinekai stream and hear native birdsong in harmony with the natural surrounds of cascading and flowing water, a gushing geyser and billowing steam.
We spent about 2 hours in the pool. There are 3 pools with different temperatures (32, 36, 40 degrees)
You must try the hottest pool and trust me you will love it! 😻

#nightlife #100WaysOfTravel #roadtrip When the sun sets in the west and night falls, thousands of lanterns will be lit on the slate road of the ancient city of Lijiang, like stars in the sky, emitting soft light. All kinds of bars and nightclubs with different styles are also beginning to be bustling, with music, laughter and voices...

Temple of Kom Ombo: Ancient Site on the Banks of the Nile
#100waysoftravel #roadtrip
The Temple of Kom Ombo is unique in that it is actually two temples side by side. One is dedicated to Sobek, while the other is dedicated to Horus. The two temples share a common entrance and many similar features, but each has its own unique elements.
The most impressive part of the temple is the hypostyle hall, which has 12 massive columns, each decorated with intricate carvings of various gods and mythical creatures.
The hall also contains a relief depicting the famous “Birth of Horus” myth, in which Horus is born to the goddess Isis.
Other notable features of the temple include the “Crocodile Museum”, which houses many crocodile mummies found in the area, as well as a large relief of Sobek on the back wall of the temple.
The Temple of Kom Ombo is located in the town of Kom Ombo, about 50 km north of Aswan. The temple is open to visitors daily from 9am to 5pm and tickets can be purchased at the entrance.
Address: Nagoa Ash Shatb, Markaz Kom Ombo, Aswan Governorate, Egypt.
Journey to discover ancient Egyptian history at Edfu Temple
#100waysoftravel #roadtrip
The Temple of Edfu Egypt is also known as the Temple of Horus. It is one of the most beautiful and important architectural works of ancient Egypt. The temple was built during the 2nd and 3rd Pharaonic periods of the Ptolemaic dynasty, dedicated to Horus, the god of falconry and war in ancient Egypt.
To get to the Temple of Edfu Egypt, you can follow these steps:
Getting to Luxor: The Temple of Edfu is located about 85 km south of Luxor. The popular way to get there is to fly to Luxor International Airport from other major cities and then take a car from the airport to Luxor.
From Luxor: You can hire a taxi or private car to get to the Temple of Edfu. This takes about 1.5 - 2 hours.
By bus: Another option is to take a public bus from Luxor to Edfu. There are bus services that run between the two cities and the travel time is around 2 - 3 hours. This can be a more economical option than hiring a private car.
Nile Cruise: If you are taking a Nile cruise, most cruise lines will stop at Edfu. You can enjoy the beauty of the Nile and visit the Edfu Temple through the cruise tours.
Note that before going to the Edfu Temple, it is advisable to check the temple's opening hours and schedule to have a smooth visit.
Abu Simbel - Architectural masterpiece of ancient Egypt
#100waysoftravel #roadtrip
Located close to the southern border of Egypt, 280 km from the city of Aswan, Abu Simbel was carved directly on the rough sandstone blocks, then completed by a team of highly skilled sculptors according to the construction standards of the time. Started in the 13th century BC, it took twenty years for this great work to be completed. A complex of two temples carved directly into the mountain rock is where the Pharaoh and his beloved wife - Queen Nefertari expressed their respect to the supreme gods such as the Sun God Amon-Re, the King's patron god Re-Horakhte or the Goddess of motherhood Hathor.
Seen from afar, the Great Temple displays its majestic beauty against the deep blue background of the sky with four giant statues up to 20 meters high guarding the entire facade with the majestic and beautiful sitting posture of the glorious Pharaoh. Unfortunately, the upper part of the second statue was destroyed after an earthquake, the fragments are lying on the ground, right at the entrance.
The large temple has a height of 30 meters, a width of 35 meters, the entrance connects three halls with a depth of about 56 meters, making a strong impression with eight statues of the king, shaped and carved delicately.
Visit the colorful ancient Nubian village in Egypt
#100waysoftravel #roadtrip
The ancient Nubian village is located on the west bank of the Nile River near the city of Aswan and is home to the Nubian people, a group of ethnic groups from southern Egypt and northern Sudan. A characteristic of the houses here is that they all have flat roofs, not tiled roofs.
With unique and vibrant architecture, the Anakato houses in the ancient Nubian village of Egypt become a colorful oasis that attracts visitors. The walls here are decorated with impressive multi-colored motifs, this is a true work of art in the middle of the desert.
Visitors can go sandboarding in the Sahara desert, fish, swim on the Nile or take a fellucca boat to enjoy the Nile. In addition, they will be led by local artists and guides to visit the village of Gharb Soheil to discover for themselves the interesting historical traditions of the Nubian region. Visitors here believe that the quiet atmosphere, the vibrant ethnic colors, the simple beauty of nature and the Nubian people have washed away all worries in life, helping them find quiet moments to contemplate themselves.

Seria Town has the best iced matcha!
It is not an exaggerating to say Coffee Industry serves the best iced matcha in Seria Town, Brunei!
As someone from Bandar Seri Begawan, I don’t mind to drive more than an hour just to grab their iced matcha.
I’ve tried almost all their matcha series including the special drinks like strawberry matcha latte, matcha gula melaka, spanish matcha latte and dirty matcha latte. And yes, their drinks never disappoint.
This coffee shop is highly recommend for those who is willing to try iced matcha latte for the first time. Make sure to ask the barista the different type of matcha they are selling.
Hope everyone will get the best experience as I am.

Top tips to spot wildlife in Yellowstone National Park 🦬
As a traveller who’s constantly amazed by the wildlife in US National Parks, here are some of my top tips for you at #yellowstonenationalpark !
🌅 Tip 1: plan have do your adventure either early morning in the day, or evening close to sunset time. This is because the animals are usually less active and hide in the shades in the middle of the afternoon and that makes them much harder to spot.
🌾 Tip 2: In Yellowstone, animals tend to gather around large, flat areas with few trees, and they tend to come in groups. So it’s best to save your effort in spotting when you are at such areas!
🚗 Tip 3: It is not uncommon to spot animals along the driveway, though it can be easy to miss! One trick that always work for me is to slow down whenever you see other cars are slowing down, that usually means that they have spotted something nearby!
🦬 Tip 4: Safety should always be your top priority! Respect the animals, and as harmless as the animals might look, remember that they are still wild animals and can potentially see you as a threat an attack you (even if you have no intention to harm them). Be sure to always maintain a safety distance.

🌟 Tussock Grasslands are dominated by native tussock grasses, which are hardy, tufted grasses well-adapted to the region’s dry and cool conditions.
🌟 Alpine Grasslands are found at high altitudes, usually above 1,200 meters.
🌟 Lowland Grasslands are located in lower altitude areas and primarily used for agriculture, including dairy farming and sheep grazing.
