I visited Sweden for the first time. Spending 4 days in the country, I fell in love with it! The scenery, the sea, friendly people… a place that gave me a relaxed and exciting look on life. After leaving the nature-filled Abisko, we took a two-hour train ride to Kiruna. This town is very peaceful and quiet, with famous attractions like the Ice Church and snow fields. Walking into the city, I was shocked by the snow that reached up to my waist. For three consecutive days, I truly experienced the abundance and annoyance of snow. The hotel owner mentioned that the snow can reach up to 4 meters at its peak, and it snows for seven months a year. One night, there was a major aurora borealis display, but unfortunately, it was snowing heavily in Kiruna that night. P.S. Make sure to secure your headphones; it took me a while to dig them out after they fell into the snow.

#myhiddengems Yes, this where the Volvo story began. But Gotherburg or Goteborg, amongst the world's most sustainable cities has so much more to offer to travellers. Amongst the biggest of cities in Sweden. I love it's location. It took me a little less than 3 hours of riding the ferry before I arrived from Denmark to Sweden. I was told norway was merely 2 hours of driving. I like crossing over to countries by the sea and land borders. Compared to the drag that airports have become. While on this trip I also covered Malmo, Jonkoping and Stockholm. I found Gothenburg to be the most lively of them all. There also seemed to be a lot more immigrants here. I wouldn't comment on that as a positive or negative but just an observation. The trams were a wonderful experience and affordable. I mostly used them for getting around in gothenburg. During my 3 nights in this city I visited several interesting places that I recommend. Namely consisting of Museums. There is the Volvo Museum, Gothenburg Museum of Natural History. Other than that I saw the Botaniska Trädgård. Huge free garden ! There also js the iseberg Tivolí where one could ride rollercoasters and other amusement rides. Review of dog sledding in Kiruna Sweden from beginning to end 🐶 A must-do activity when visiting a city with snow is to ride a dog sled!! Start by making an appointment with the farm owner (when we went, there was only our tour group of 8 people, no one else mixed in). Then the farm will send a car to pick us up in front of our accommodation at the agreed time and drive us to the farm. It's very convenient. When we arrive at the farm, they will let us change into the clothes they have prepared for us, which will be worn over the clothes we are wearing. There are boots, hats, gloves, and face masks. 🧦🧤🧣👕👖 The kind that can sit and chill in the middle of -10 ❄️❄️ temperatures without feeling cold at all 555555 After changing, there will be an officer to explain how to ride. 1 sled can seat 2-3 people. After pulling halfway, the dog will stop to rest and we will move to sit in the house, warm ourselves by the fire. There will be tea and snacks for us to eat + take pictures with the dog. After that, we will take a ride back through the frozen lake and the church. The atmosphere is sooo good! ⏰️⏰️Time spent on the ride ~ 1.30 hrs. 💸💸Price per person: 1300kr (3.4 baht/kr) In case of cash, if paying by card, 1400kr P.S. Someone I know did a Norway-Sweden tour. The night never falls and it is a lovely mountain with lovely views! Reaching the top was a unique experience and I was even lucky enough to see a group of raindeer running around freely. Kebnekaise is a dream come true, i recommend it to everyone!

I’ve visited Stockholm twice now with the most recent tip being in February (meaning it was quite cold). The city centre is not far from the airport and east to access. There are a number of things to do in Stockholm including nature related attractions. We visited a National park that had some animals that are native to Sweden as well as historic buildings. I visited the Stockholm city hall on a tour and was impressed by all the beautifully decorated rooms inside. My favourite fact was how the stairs were tested by the architects wife to make sure they were the perfect height for the female visiting dignitaries. Another beautiful part of the city hall is the location, across the river from the main city, it’s quiet and boats beautiful views.

Monteliusvagen is a quarter mile narrow footpath that opens up to an impressive view of Stockholm. It is very accessible by public transport and located near bus and tram stops. It is certainly one of the best viewpoints in the city and affords unparalleled views over Gamla Stan, the old town. Iy was our first time in Stockholm, we walked through this quaint area. It has lovely architecture, mixed in with lots of souvenir shops, small boutiques/restaurant, interesting alleyways, and of course, a few major tourist attractions (Nobel Museum, Royal Palace, Parliament). Last sunday, I joined the local hiking group to go for a hike in Hellasgården. The weather is so perfect and comfortable for hike. The colour of autumn is so gorgeous. If you want to spend some time in the nature, I highly recommend to visit this place.
