Sensational Seville!
I can’t wait to go back to Seville this year. I first went in 2020 and fell in love with the city. It really is stunningly beautiful, I think it is my favourite city in the whole of Spain, although I still haven’t visited Madrid, which I also hear is beautiful. I’m planning to visit in the autumn of 2025. I plan to visit Seville for a few days and then planning to take a trip round Andalusia, visiting Cordoba, Grenada, Malaga and possibly also Gibraltar. I am really looking forward to exploring the beautiful Andalusia region of Southern Spain.

Mesmerising Mezquita-Cathedral of Cordoba
The Mezquita of Cordoba is absolutely beautiful, with the outside orange garden, the amazing mixture of architecture styles & the stunning Cathedral inside is easily one of the most impressive buildings in the World. The giant red & white columns are the most recognisable feature, they create a magical experience walking through them. Cordoba is a gorgeous Spanish city and I 100% recommend spending 2 days here getting lost in the ancient streets. Cordoba, not just the Mezquita
Many people travel to the Andalusian city of Cordoba to visit the impressive moorish gem of the Mezquita, however those who choose to spend a little longer in the city are in for a treat. The beautiful Alcazar capped off with the stunning gardens, the Roman bridge crossing the equally impressive river, the Calleja de las Flores with their flower adorned balconies and the Arabic baths are just a small selection of the many treasures this city has to offer #cordoba #andalucia

Cordoba’s Iconic Landmark!
The Mezquita-Catedral in Córdoba is definitely worth visiting. It is a unique and awe-inspiring structure with a rich history that reflects the diverse cultural influences of Spain. The mosque's forest of columns and horseshoe arches is visually stunning, and the intricate details of the mihrab are remarkable. The later addition of the Christian cathedral within the mosque creates an extraordinary juxtaposition of architectural styles. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it offers deep insights into the region's historical and religious evolution.

Classic Spain
Location: Cordoba, Southern Spain
Getting there: A fast train from Madrid for a few hours or a fast train from Malaga for one hour.
One building alone is reason enough to visit Cordoba: the mesmerising multiarched Mezquita. One of the world's greatest Islamic buildings, the Mezquita is a symbol of the worldly, sophisticated culture that flourished here more than a millennium ago when Córdoba was capital of Islamic Spain and western Europe's biggest, most cultured city.
Cordoba has stunning classical architecture and is definitely worth a day trip from one of the bigger Spanish cities in central or southern Spain.

The streets of Cordoba
Cordoba in Spain’s southern Andalusian region is often overlooked by travellers to the region in favour of its coastline or more famous cities of Seville and Malaga. Even those who do visit are often only drawn to its UNESCO world heritage site of the Mezquita.
Spending more time here is really recommended though, just taking a walk through the cities streets will allow you to get a true feel for this often considered sleepy city but one that can allow you a tranquil escape in an often hectic region. #2024mapped #spain #cordoba
