First time went for river hiking and couldn’t find any other most exciting activity to do on weekends with friends. Water makes your climbing more chill and refreshing, you don’t feel very tired and hot as trees also give you chilling shadow. The beginning of the trail is mostly for families with kids and lazy hikers. If you will move further, hiking will become more difficult but more exciting and challenging. It’s just 3 hours from Shanghai by car. Amazing village with breathtaking views surrounded by mountains. Local food with the most fresh and pickled vegetables made by owner and his wife. So quiet and relaxing that you might decide to stay here for 2 days more to enjoy peace and calm atmosphere. This trip was meant to be a short stop at the start of a month of travel but it turned out to be the most serene trip I have taken yet. Our hotel was walking distance from the adventure themepark called Skyland and from our room we could see the cable cars leading to the top of the mountain. Skyland is an adventure themepark situated, quite literally, in the sky. We purchased a ticket on the day and caught a bus to the base of the mountain where we hopped on the cable car and started our day of fun. While Skyland was meant to be the highlight of the visit, it was actually the peaceful wilderness and beautiful vistas that were the real stars. This trip is definitely one I would recommend if you are looking to disconnect from the world and reboot...just be sure to take your own snacks or western foods if you want because it is quite literally in the middle of nowhere. #thisischina #anji #rejuvination #travel #travelphotography #themepark#summervacation#nationalpark

Getting There - You can take the train from Shanghai to Anji it’s about 2 hours or you can drive. Attractions - Anji is really for those looking to shut off and connect with Mother Nature. Anji is filled with many beautiful mountains and tea plantations. You can also visit a beautiful Temple in a lush and green field, this was an immersive and calming experience. Anji is quite small so there’s not much today besides hiking, walking and picking tea. Hotels - We stayed at this beautiful hotel called Anji Shanyan Lisu Hotel. It was clean, well-maintained and the owners were so friendly and welcoming towards us. This was the best treatment I’ve ever received from a hotel here in China! Food & Restaurants - The small little town area has a few western restaurants and many local places. #anji #escape #retreat

Getting There - Took the train from Shanghai Hongqiao station to Anji station and then a private car for another hour to the hotel. A bit far from the station but we’ll worth it. Attractions - not much to do in this area but relaxe and do some hiking in the mountains behind the hotel or walk around the lake in the village. hotel has a public hot spring which is nice. Previously , Anji County is known for its lush natural environment, with over 70% of the county's area covered in forest and other vegetation. But , right now they will be a new destination for staycation , holiday , many fully new resort and specialty as Snow ski resort !! This town is such a wonderful and amazing environment, natural and stunning landscape .
