Human bodies in Pompeii

As we all have heard about human bodies found in Pompeii Archeological Park, our mission was to find these human bodies. However, it was not the easiest thing to do. We did not hire a tour guide. There were no signs about the bodies. We tried to ask the staffs. But either the bodies have been moved around or the staffs did not memorize the map, we were pointed to wrong places. Plus, the whole archeological site is like a labyrinth and some roads were blocked. Finally, we found a big house with three bodies and another big house with one body. We also found some bathhouses. Glimpse of ancient Roman city in Pompeii

We arrived in Naples on a cruise boat. We took the metro from the port to the train station and then took the train to Pompeii Archaeological Park. We missed the stop and had to another train to go back. It took us about 2 hours but it was really worth it. The site was huge. Walking inside, one can feel how life was in the ancient Roman city. Although most of the buildings are gone now, the foundation of the buildings is still very clear. Most of the houses were sharing walls and there were temples, water fountains, and communal areas inside the city. Some of the mansions are still very well preserved. We did not manage to see everything but it was still an amazing experience. However, visiting Pompeii in August is a little tough as the weather can be very hot. Make sure to hydrate yourself with lots of water. Feel the Mediterranean breeze in Sicily

Sicily is an island located in the south of Italy in the Mediterranean Sea, and Catania is a port city in Sicily. We arrived there on a cruise ship. It was nice to walking around the city. There were many historical buildings with beautiful designs. We could feel the Italian culture and taste the cuisine. People were very laid back and everyone was enjoying the summer weather. The local people were very friendly and they spoke English very well. 💎Hidden Gems Along D400 Coastal Road

When you’re driving along the D400 between Antalya and Fethiye, there are a few spot that I stopped by and I just have to share: 1. Heart Cave (Konul Plaji): This place is almost completely off the radar—perfect for some uninterrupted photos. Just be careful as the path can get a bit slippery. I parked the car on the roadside near a disposal bin and it was a quick stop. 2. Butterfly Valley: You can’t actually get down to the valley from here, but the view from the top is stunning. The water is the bluest blue you’ll ever see. When you spot P3, that’s your cue to pull over for a quick photo op. 3. Kaputaş Beach: I didn’t brave the heat to head down to the beach itself—it was a scorcher and pretty crowded—but it’s worth stopping just to take in the view from above. Parking might be a bit of a challenge during peak season, but you can usually find a spot on either side of the road. 4. Antiphellos Ancient Theatre in Kaş: This theatre is such a peaceful spot, facing the sea and almost always quiet. It’s not huge, but the view makes it worth a visit. I found parking along the roadside easily. 5. Kaş Town: After visiting the theatre, I checked into my hotel and wandered around Kaş. The town is full of vibrant bougainvillea, and every little alley seems to lead to the sea. If you’re there around sunset, make sure to take a dip in the ocean—it’s the perfect way to end the day. If you’re planning this trip, I’d suggest renting a car so you can stop at these hidden spots at your own pace. But if you prefer public transport, you can easily catch a bus from Antalya Terminali—look for Bati Antalya. A Gem on the Mediterranean coast

#myhiddengems Collioure, set along the Côte Vermeille is amongst the lost spectacular of stops on this stretch of the Mediterranean coast. While closer to the spanish border, it still retains a very french influence. I visited Collioure on a day trip from Perpignan where i was hosted by a friend for almost a week. While trains would have been slightly faster. I was closer to the bus stop. And so I decided on it. It cost me only a Euro and took me an hour, but it was pleasant. I got dropped a few steps away from the Collioure beach. This was the end of October so the weather was just perfect. The beach front is shallow and backed by a row of palm trees that are a reminder you’re in southern France. Once through with strolling across the Beachfront. I followed the waterfront to the north past the stone walls of Château Royal de Collioure. This large castle complex is impossible to ignore, as it’s a towering obstacle between the beach and the centre of town. Continue past the chateau and you’ll reach the marina and centre of town. The whole area by the water feels so gentle and relaxed, that you’ll likely feel yourself slow down to match the mood. This was followed by visiting the hilly centre of town. It had little alleys with charming staircases full of plants. Very colorful at this time of year. Back down on the main waterfront of the town by the Plage des Pêcheurs lies the Church of Our Lady of the Angels. This historic church is perhaps the most famous landmark of Collioure. Lastly, once you are past the Church of Our Lady of the Angels, you reach a small headland sticking out into the bay. A cliff retreat

#europetrip Positano looks stunning as you arrive closer to it. I was on a public ferry from Salerno after a couple of nights there. And I remember seeing this gorgeous retreat like town on the cliff of mediterranean, surrounded by stunning views. The weather was absolutely perfect. Albeit, a bit hot though. But your room is most likely going to have an air conditioning if that helps. This was the month of May and that did mean a considerable amount of tourists. Which is why I recommend booking well ahead of travelling here. Speaking of hot, I was slightly exhausted so on my day u arrived I stayed indoors snacking and grabbing a drink at the hotels bar. In the evening I found a nice place to eat and befriended some travellers from Germany. That helped plan the next day where we shared a taxi to Ravello. Which offered some gorgeous gardens, architecture and shopping. Our taxi tour included a stop at the blue grotto. A tip here, you want to avoid those stops that friendly locals would recommend. It's a tourist set up. Any who, Ravello was fantastic. However pricey, I think the drive is somewhat challenging so it worth having a reliable and safe ride. In the night when we were back at Postiano, we picked one of the many restaurants by the sea front and the food was very satisfying. #europetrip #islandgetaway #mediterranean

Manavgat Waterfall is one of the most visited waterfalls in Turkey, a true natural beauty in Antalya. That's why you shouldn't miss it. It is a worth to see attraction in the province of Manavgat, Türkiye. The waterfall is so refreshing to see and the color of the water is clear green. It was a quick visit but fair enough. There were coffee tables over there if you cannot resist the wonderful view, you can just sit down, sip your "cay" and hear the sound of the waterfalls, better if you go there with your partner as it is a bit romantic as well. One of the Best Shawarmas in Kampong Glam

Address - 14 Bussorah Street Singapore Shawarma is one of my dad’s favorite food and one of his requests during his visit over the yuletide season is to eat an authentic Shawarma here in Singapore. I decided to try Byblos Grill as I’ve seen it pop up during my “research” on which resto to try in Kampong Glam since we’d stay in a hotel near that area. We ordered the following: - hummus with bread - spinach and cheese borek - chicken shawarma - grilled kofte - adana chicken kebab (not in pic) Everything was delicious! We especially liked their lavash bread which goes so well with the meze - so much so we had a second helping! Buffet 101 is one of the most popular eat-all-you-can in Cebu. It is located at City Time Square, Mandaue City, Cebu. The place is luxurious with high ceiling and is quite big, could fit upto 500 customers at a time. Favorable for huge groups. They also have areas where you can have a semi-exclusive venue. Aside from being popular, it is also one of the largest buffet table. It serves wide arrays of international cuisine which includes Mediterranean, Western, and Asian. Kas is located 3h away by shuttle from Dalaman airport. it’s easy get to Dalaman from Istanbul. it’s got an amazing vibe and a permanent digital nomad crowd. Kas could be an Ubud of Bali. it’s got all little cosy cafes with healthy food, amazing yoga community in various locations such as an old Greek amphitheater, or Kas yoga house where I also happened to rent an apartment. Konyaalti beach is a long stretch beach along the coast of Antalya, overlooking the crystal clear Mediterranean waters. There a lot of beach clubs in the coast that will let you rent sun beds for 35-200TL. They sell drinks and snacks upon your request! However, if you don’t wanna pay money to rent the beds, there are parts of the beach where you can lay down for free. Restaurant: Lamees Address: Shop 2, G/F, Sanford Mansion, 145 Pak Tai Street, To Kwa Wan Got obsessed with lovely sauces love yaa   Not so spacious, but with really middle East feeling, and the chef is come from Mediterranean Sea I guess lol haaa Chicken stew, bone-in chicken, potatoes, and green peas having the color of curry,we a bit worry will it be too spicy cause both of us can't have spicy things haaa,  but it turns out nice and special taste, I especially like the soft texture of green peas haa, chicken quite tender too not bad, such a good try Salmon steak including lemon, drill with Bechamel sauce, the sauce is amazingggg, how lovely is ittt, yuummy and you can simply add it in any dishes and its just way too wonderful haaaa, strong milk cheese flavor my number one favorite, I extremely wanna find a recipe and make it myself haa, and I go searching in the internet, it looks easy to cook with simply 5 ingredients including butter, flour, milk, salt and freshly ground pepper, must try in coming days, I still missing the taste haa best sauce I tried in this meal!!! Food lover diary 2: Peru-Mediterranean

Colca is a very nice place to visit for a romantic dinner or just to chill with friends. There is a particular mix of flavors very relatable to Peruvian cuisine, yet many dishes have that Mediterranean-related cuisine. Ambience is fancy, yet calming. Food is very tasty. Peruvian food is worldly known for its seafood gastronomy. The ceviches has a unexpected presentation, yet flavor was the one we came seeking for. Nice surprise (for me at least) to find roasted corn snack in our ceviche. Although not authentic, reminded me of my Costa Rican childhood and our ‘caldosas’. Fresh, warm bread was offered on the house. Very nice touch. As part of a larger tour I made across Puglia a couple years ago, I had to stop by Ostuni. Ostuni is a unique town that resembles a bright cap rising up right from the flat plains near the southern coast of Italy. Its whitewashed defensive walls and houses in the old town with many winding streets, steps and beautifully decorated, colorful window frames can make you think you're somewhere in Greece. Also known as “The White City”, because of the white lime tones of its historic center, Ostuni stands on a 600-feet hill overlooking the nearby Adriatic coastline and I must say that Mediterranean vibes ooze from every corner and every alley. You could definitely spend an entire morning or afternoon wandering around and cherishing the slow life of Apulian people, making pasta or putting laundry out to dry. Details of its ancient past, baroque and medieval, can be found everywhere across the city in churches and old palaces.
