Underrated city!
In my opinion it's an underrated city which deserves more credit. Ljubljana is the old capital of Yugoslavia and such a beautiful city to explore. You can spare 2 full days to explore the city. It's also very close to Venice in Italy. So i would recommend to make a weekend trip to Venice if you have extra time. The city gained its popularity with dragons so why not take a pic of one of those! #ljubljana #slovenia #centraleurope
Rainy Day Charm: Exploring Ljubljana’s Old Town
#europetrip #slovenia #ljubljana
Wandering through Ljubljana's Old Town on a rainy day was a truly charming experience, as the drizzle added a magical atmosphere to the cobblestone streets and historic architecture. The iconic Dragon Bridge, with its imposing dragon statues, stood as a symbol of the city’s strength and legend, even more captivating against the soft glow of rain-soaked stone. Nearby, the beautiful buildings lining the riverfront showcased a mix of Baroque and Art Nouveau styles, their facades glistening under the gentle rain. Crossing the Triple Bridge, we were treated to lovely views of the Ljubljanica River, which reflected the colors of the buildings and passing umbrellas. Despite the wet weather, the Old Town retained its warmth and charm, making it a memorable and picturesque stroll through one of Europe’s most enchanting capitals.
Graffiti Art of Ljubljana City Center, Slovenia
Trubarjeva Cesta in Ljubljana is a vibrant street known for its eclectic graffiti and street art. This pedestrian-friendly area is filled with colorful murals, quirky designs, and a variety of creative expressions that line the walls, adding a unique urban charm. While the graffiti might give the street a slightly gritty appearance, it contributes to its authenticity and reflects the local artistic culture.

It connects to other cultural landmarks, such as the Metelkova Art Center, which is another hotspot for street art enthusiasts. Ljubljana Castle 🏰
#timetotravel
My visit to Ljubljana Castle in Slovenia was an enchanting experience that offered a perfect blend of history and modernity. Perched on a hill overlooking the charming city of Ljubljana, this castle is a true symbol of the capital.
Exploring the castle's well-preserved medieval architecture and exhibits was a journey through time. The castle's interactive museum displays and the iconic dragon motif of Ljubljana left a lasting impression.
The highlight of my visit was ascending the castle's tower for a panoramic view of the city. The breathtaking vistas of Ljubljana's red-roofed old town and the lush green surroundings were simply magical.
Ljubljana Castle also offers a delightful dining experience at its restaurants, making it a perfect spot to relax and savor traditional Slovenian cuisine.

Lovely Ljubljana!
A hidden gem! Ljubljana is the capital of Slovenia and not a place I had heard much about until I started travelling Europe. On Friday’s there is a market held beside the town’s centre which features all the top restaurants in the city. Try out some Štruklji, a delicious Slovenian sweet dumpling or go for a Pad Thai. Wonder along the river and you’ll find fabulous eateries and great places overlooking the river to grab a drink. On weekends catch a bus to the stunning Lake Bled for half the price of weekdays. Here you will be mesmerised by the beauty of the lake and the town and alps surrounded. Can’t wait to return.

Ljubljana the green river city
Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Easily accessible by bus or car from the airport. The see is the beautiful, small center of the city, with the green river and a hill with the castle in the middle. All of tye good hotels are walking distance in the center. During the day and evening you can enjoy sitting by the river and eating local or other European food. There are no cars allowed in the city center so the walks are very enjoyable. #ljubljana #slovenia #oldtown
Old town of Ljubljana, Slovenia
#summertripevent #sloveniatravel #slovenia #slovenia #ljubljana
I was positively surprised by the well-maintained city in the old town of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.
The cafes and restaurants along the canal were great for drinking coffee or eating emotionally.
Good vibes and lovely street music in Ljubljana 😄

the dumplings of Slovenia
It is called the Slovenian dumplings, but honestly it is more like layered and rolled crêpes. It comes in many different flavours so the choice was super hard. Finally I decided on the seasonal pistachio & pumpkin seed one and it was amazing especially for the price of €5.8. It is sweet and creamy, they are generous with filling and the decoration as well but it doesn't feel too much. The service is very kind, not the quickest but it is worth the wait. Don't miss it if you are in Slovenia!#ljubljana

Rijeka - easy to get to Slovenia from Croatia
Travelled to Rijeka which is a drivable distance from Ljubljana in Slovenia. I landed in Ljubljana with Wizz Air and a friend living in Rijeka drove me into Croatia. A really fun experience where you can explore two countries in one weekend. Lots to do in Slovenia, a cultural city and lots of food available to try. Rijeka, just like the rest of Croatia beautiful scenery and water.

#stnicholas'Cathedral with its classic twin towers and trademark single, weather-worn green dome, the city’s cathedral encapsulates everything that's #ljubljana. Small and interesting, but not too exciting at first glance, a longer look at its history and finer details reveals its hidden charm and beauty. Built on the site of a much earlier church, the cathedral’s main structure and appearance date from the first half of the 18th century. Inside the Baroque masterpiece is a cavalcade of classic creams and golds, littered with extraordinarily detailed frescoes and possessing that calming feeling that only a great church can bring.
