Mount Aso right in front of you! Grandoma, a cafe with a spectacular view of Aso
#DomesticTravelRecord
A cafe with a great view in Aso, gran .do.ma Grand Doma This is a cafe with a great view that I found while driving in Minamiaso. A nice view of Mt. Aso right in front of you👍 There was a wide selection of cafe and lunch menus♪ I had just eaten, so I had banana juice♪ It seemed like you had to make a reservation for the terrace seats, so I ate indoors♪ The interior was also cute with a big wreath♪ Location: 3232-61 Kawakage, Minamiasomura, Aso-gun, Kumamoto Prefecture, 869-1411 Business days: Open only on weekends and holidays (12:00 to 15:00) Parking: Yes, free

Kumamoto-Torpedo Ramen
There are two fish ramen restaurants in Kumamoto, this time I ate the red signature one~
The shop has rich salmon broth and pork bone broth
Ordered the signature 2nd place torpedo ramen (first place was the spicy version).
The soup is very rich, with a full flavour of salmon
Not so salty that you can take a few sips of soup
It will also come with salmon powder to dip into the soup
Char siu is a char siu that has been grilled and has a good taste
The noodles are very soft and delicious!
Overall I think it's ramen that I would normally want to eat
The salmon soup is also relatively refreshing and long-lasting
There are also vending machines outside the shop selling ramen cooking packets to take home and cook!
It is about a 10-minute walk from the main shopping street of Kumamoto

Aso Sanzai in Autumn
Autumn comes to Aso
Cao Qianli has changed from green grassland to golden grassland
In addition to riding horses, you can experience riding in Cao Qianli
If you're lucky, you can also see the smoking Aso volcano in the distance, which is very interesting.
The souvenir shop next to the parking lot is also very easy to browse! There are many local Aso souvenirs, sweets and handmade items.
There is also Sosenri Coffee next to it to replenish caffeine~
After leaving Kussenri, head to Aso Crater
It's a pity that because of the frequent volcanic activity today, I can only take pictures in Prospect Park.
There is also a shrine on Mount Aso where you can visit.
We held a meeting along the way down the mountain and passed Yonezuka Observation Area.
There is no special sign here, it is a small open space where you can park.
The view is very good. If you drive by yourself, you can also enjoy the rice mounds from different angles along the way.
In addition, there are several specialty restaurants at the foot of Mount Aso.
This time I went to Takamori Tenaku. It is a traditional Tenaku (somewhat similar to Robatayaki) and it is also worth experiencing.
The atmosphere of Aso is completely different in different seasons
I really like the golden grassland in autumn
It is recommended that everyone visiting in autumn can arrange a day trip to walk around!

Kumamoto CANDEO HOTEL offers an ultra-comfortable sky bath and sauna.
Kumamoto CANDEO HOTEL KUMAMOTO Shinshigai
The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the bustling shopping street.
It's within a 10-minute walk from the Kumamoto bus station and a 5-minute tram ride.
The transportation is very convenient.
Moreover, the facade on the first floor is very grand and looks beautiful both in the morning and evening!
The best part here is the SKY SPA on the top floor.
It has a large bath, open-air hot spring, and sauna, which can relieve the fatigue of the whole day.
Even if you are not staying at the hotel, you can purchase a day-use ticket to enjoy the hot spring.
The room can open two 28-inch suitcases.
There is also a tatami mat by the bed where you can relax leisurely, and the room has excellent daylight during the day.
The bed has a relatively firm mattress, which I find quite comfortable to sleep on.
If you don't go upstairs to the hot spring, the room still has a bathtub for soaking.
The lobby also has a rest area and amenities available.

One of the joys of traveling in Aso is driving 🛣️
Aso Panorama Line has many view spots ♪
On the way back from Kusasenri, where I had to give up due to a huge traffic jam, I saw Yonezuka!
A wonderful view that blew away all my sadness of not being able to go to Kusasenri.
The green Yonezuka and the surrounding pampas grass plains were like something out of a movie.

Aso: Early Morning Mist
We stayed overnight at the Aso Plateau and left the hotel at 5 AM to head to Kusasenrigahama.
As the darkness gradually gave way to light, the sight of the mist slowly drifting away was incredibly beautiful.
When the sun illuminated the mist, the soft light filling the surroundings created such a magnificent scene that it felt almost wasteful to press the camera shutter.
Walking into the mist felt like stepping into the clouds, which was also quite fascinating.
▶︎Note
We accessed Kusasenrigahama via the route heading north from the Minami Aso Panorama Line.
There were many wild animals like raccoons and deer, so please be very careful when driving!
Enjoy Flower Viewing Along the Kumamoto Tram Line
One of Japan's many attractions is its extensive railway and tram networks. When you visit Kumamoto, a classic photo spot is capturing the scene of a tram passing in front of Kumamoto Castle. However, if you visit Kumamoto in the spring or summer, don't forget to take photos of the blooming flowers along the roadside.
The first photo spot where you can capture lavender with the tram is located next to the busy Shinshigai Station. This is a station that most visitors to Kumamoto will pass through, and the lavender along the road is definitely one of the best places for a photo.
The second flower viewing spot is located at Tasakibashi Station. Next to the station, there are bright yellow rapeseed flowers, and if you're lucky, you might catch a train with a yellow body, creating a vibrant scene. As the terminal station, most trams stay here for a long time, allowing you to take your time to find the perfect angle.

Kumamon-Themed Railway
Don't miss the adorable Kumamon Railway when you visit Kumamoto City in Kyushu, Japan. While Kumamoto is famous for Kumamon, there's a lesser-known Kumamon Railway in a slightly off-the-beaten-path area!
The Kumamoto Railway connects Kamikumamoto to Kita-Kumamoto, and it's serviced by Kumamon-themed trains. At the quaint Kita-Kumamoto station, you'll be delighted to see two Kumamon trains arriving simultaneously, making for a fun experience. Kids will be thrilled by the numerous Kumamon decorations on the train and will eagerly take photos with the train's exterior.
Kamikumamoto Station is only about 10 train stops from the center of Kumamoto City, so it's definitely worth spending a little time to take a ride on this whimsical Kumamoto Railway with your children!

Hakata Hotel with Great Reputation and Top Onsen Experience
📍Address: Hakata Blossom Premier Hotel
🗓️Itinerary: 6-7 minutes walk from Hakata Station
🏖️Environment/Facilities:
The hotel facilities are relatively new, and the rooms are more spacious compared to other Japanese hotels. Our double room even had a small entrance area, which we had never seen in hotels of the same price range in Japan. The lobby is on the third floor, and the staff are very friendly. There are foreign staff members, so English communication should be good. There is a large public bath, and the pool is big enough. We took a bath on the first day. There are many restaurants and cafes around (the popular Fuk Coffee is just downstairs), which is very convenient.
The facilities are also relatively simple. The main attraction is their Kumamon-themed room. The room is very cute with various Kumamon elements (even the shower curtain is Kumamon-themed), and there are souvenirs (file folders and postcards) that you can take with you. There are also three Kumamon statues in the lobby for photo opportunities.
So far, this has been the best onsen hotel experience. I will write a separate article about it later.
In summary, although it is expensive, it is worth it, and I would like to come back again.

The visit was indeed full of surprises 😍 There were so many types of animals, and most of them could be seen up close. In the end, I spent over 3 hours there before I was willing to leave 😝

Finally, it’s time for dinner. Katsuretsu Tei is a delicacy that any earthling or alien who comes to Kumamoto City must try. This restaurant is famous all over the world, and its Kumamoto-produced pork cutlet, higher-end... Black-haired piglet, the minister and the three fools decided to try both 🥰
The 30-minute wait was worth it. The melt-in-your-mouth pork fat, the generous amounts of shredded cabbage and the Japanese rare pig rice. I highly recommend the original flavor of the pork, which is more substantial. The two middle school students next to me ate it with gusto. , proving that Katsuretsutei is indeed a specialty of Kumamoto City🤪

[Must Eat in Kyushu Kumamoto] Never visit Kumamoto without eating Shoretsutei
When it comes to Kumamoto delicacies in Kyushu, it must be the fried pork ribs at Shoreutei🐷
Shore-tei was founded in Showa 50 and is definitely an old-fashioned brand
The fried pork ribs at Shengretei Pork Ribs are made with domestically produced Kagoshima "Six White Black Pork".
Also used Japanese domestic rice 🍚
Why is it called six white black dolphin?
This is because the color of pigs is mainly black
There are six places on the body that appear white⚪
It's the nose, four legs and tail ~ hence the name six white black dolphin🐖
There are 4 shops in Sheng Lie Pavilion
Our store is in Shinshi Street, this time we went to the Minami Kumamoto store in the suburbs
We took a self-drive tour and chose the Minami Kumamoto store in the suburbs
Because outside the store is a large parking lot (suitable for self-drive parking).
And next door there are "Nishimatsuya" "DAISO" and others
After getting the ticket, you can go for a stroll next door
Make the right time to return to Shengli Pavilion for dinner
And the store has free Wifi, so that the waiting time is not too boring ~
You have to take off your shoes before entering the store (it's better to wear socks~).
Then put it in the shoe cabinet locker
Just keep the numbers wooden key (very cute wooden key locker!)
The seating is Japanese-style tatami, but there is a footrest under the table
There is no need to sit on the traditional knees, it is more comfortable ~
We ordered "ロース" loin and "ヒレ" tenderlion
Plus fried shrimp (shrimp) (super large!) to share every 2 people
Mainly one was more lean, the other a little more fatty and a little more greasy
After ordering, study the bottles and cans on the table
There are two kinds of pork rib sauce: Japanese style and Western style
🎋Japanese style recommended with ground sesame
⚜Ocean wind is more intense to eat alone can also
Sauerkraut, carrots and pickles, the taste is not too salty
It can reduce the greasiness of fried pork ribs
To the main character six white black pork pork ribs
"ロース" loin is more oily
"ヒレ" tenderlion is thicker and more delicate
Personally, I prefer the thinner "ヒレ" tenderlion
Thickly sliced, crispy, juicy, and not too greasy
The fried pork ribs are overall crispy on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside
The crispy skin is not too thick, and the skin and flesh will not separate, which is very good!
The fried shrimp is also excellent ~ the big fried shrimp 🍤 is not stingy at all ~
You can add rice, bean curd soup and pickled vegetables on the table as you like
The daughters had a children's meal
And it's so delicious to eat all the meals, it's really rare ~
This quality of fried pork ribs is world class
And better than Hong Kong's top Japanese fried pork ribs (such as the Shing Bo Temple in Causeway Bay)
The price is half cheaper, and fried pork ribs more layered
So I highly recommend that you must try this fried pork ribs when you come to Kumamoto!

[Kumamoto] The great nature of Aso! Introducing Kusasenrihama Beach in autumn
Kusasenri-ga-hama is a grassland with a diameter of about 1 km that spreads on the northern foot of Mt. Eboshi, one of the five peaks of Aso. There is a large pond in the center of the grassland, which is the remains of a crater, and the idyllic scenery of grazing horses leisurely grazing is a representative view of Aso. There is also a volcano museum and an observation deck nearby.
In autumn, you can see Japanese silver grass and many tourists visit.

[Hita Authentic Charcoal Grilled Pork] Affordable and delicious, dinner costs about 7,000 yen
[#SiSikyan Enjoy the World] Hita's authentic charcoal barbecue 🥩🔥
Another accidental discovery of hidden barbecue restaurant 💁🏻♂️
Because staying at the hot spring hotel in Hita did not arrange one-night-two meals, I took a break after check-in and quickly went out to find a restaurant for dinner.
By Sunday, most restaurants were closed, with only a couple of izakayas still operating. After I looked at Google Maps, I randomly entered an izakaya with a rating of 4.5🏮
I didn't know that this is a great barbecue restaurant! After I entered and sat down, I ordered two glasses of wine and slowly saw what I wanted to eat.
It turns out that this restaurant is a family-run, very warm little shop. The a la carte price of meat is quite cheap, starting from 800yen. I ordered a total of 5 kinds of meat, including the best wagyu beef.
After eating, the dinner consumption for two was about 7000yen, which is super good value for money!
This hidden barbecue restaurant is really great! If you have a chance to come to Hita, you must try it!
Food recommendations
🌟Wagyu beef ¥1000
🌟Beef starts from ¥800
🌟Pork from ¥550
🌟Chicken from ¥550
Dinner Total ¥7000 (approx.)
