The cobblestone streets and half-timbered houses lined up make it seem like a fairy tale setting 🎠
In winter, it's covered in snow! The white roofs make it even more beautiful 🥹❄️

[Magnificent and luxurious] Palace of Versailles🇫🇷
Everyone knows about the Palace of Versailles🇫🇷🏰.
Anyway, it was just gorgeous. That's all I can say. I looked it up and it seems that about 6 million tourists from all over the world visit every year to see this splendor.
The interior was really full of gorgeous and elaborate parts. The gardens are also well maintained. The fountains⛲️ are also beautiful✨
As it is related to the French Revolution, I was excited from start to finish as a history lover. Anyway, it was really really gorgeous✨ I wonder how much it cost lol
It's worth a look.

[Like a fairy tale] Colmar🇫🇷
Colmar is located in the Alsace region in eastern France. The townscape was as if it had jumped out of a picture book, and it was truly beautiful. The sunset was also amazing🌆.
Because it is in the Alsace region, it is close to the German border🇩🇪, and it feels like France and Germany are fused together.
I visited during Christmas, so I enjoyed the Christmas market🎄 and Christmas shopping🎄. It really felt like I was in a Christmas picture book. I was so happy.
Strasbourg is famous for Christmas, but Colmar is also a must-see🇫🇷🎄✨

A Miracle Competition in Southern France
Lavender, which blooms in June in the mainland of Japan, and sunflowers, which are associated with August, bloom side by side in this flower field!
This is a contrast I've never seen before 👀
You can see this only in front of a shop run by a farmer called Terrarome in Valensole in the south of France.
The shop is lined with lavender-based scented goods, which are fun to use, and it's also a great place to take a toilet break in the vast farmland 🚻
This area is mostly lavender, but there are also places where pink herbs are grown.
The idyllic rural scenery makes you feel like you're in a picture book 😌
Of course, the scent will envelop your whole body 💖

A rental car is ideal for a leisurely and leisurely trip, but there are also tours from nearby towns.

What is the colour of the South of France?
The beach in Nice, France, left an impression on me, saying how wonderful this elderly couple was.
The blue bench was impressive, and the museum shop introducing the local area had items with this motif.
Nice is filled with dazzling light, and it's easy to see why many painters such as Matisse and Chagall visited and were inspired by it.
The elderly couple from before also went through a lot of things when they were young, but they overcame them, and now they're watching young people having fun in the bright sea.
Even if the same thing happens to you, if you're surrounded by such a bright environment and the colorful things that are produced from it, you'll probably be able to accept it cheerfully🌈

I want to visit Mont Saint-Michel at least once!
🇫🇷🗼
Mont Saint-Michel is located in the Burgundy region of France.
It used to be a monastery on an isolated island.
Therefore, it was a life-threatening journey to get to the island.
Because the crossing was dependent on the tides, many pilgrims were swept away by the waves and lost their lives on the way.
Now, a walkway has been built, and it is possible to walk across.
It has become a tourist destination visited by many people every year!
When you enter the island, tourists are greeted by the main street lined with hotels, restaurants, souvenir shops, and other shops.
While looking at food and souvenirs, you can walk towards the monastery where Archangel Michael is.
You will walk along old-fashioned cobblestone roads and climb stairs, so it may be a good idea to bring less luggage.
As mentioned above, the island on which Mont Saint-Michel is located is an isolated island. It is surrounded by the sea.
However, because the tides are so large, once the tide goes out, the entire visible area becomes land.
I visited during low tide.
I was able to explore the area around the island, which is usually considered dangerous to walk around without a guide.
It was a rare opportunity to see the other side of the island 👀✨
However, the wide range of low tide means that high tide comes quickly.
Be sure to take safety precautions, such as checking the tide times and signing up for a tour organized by the tourist information center.

[Paris🇫🇷] The uniform gardens are so beautiful🤍
Everyone wants to visit the Palace of Versailles someday.
The gorgeous palace was wonderful, of course, but I loved the magnificent palace gardens!
It was so vast that it took a whole day to look around...
I was surprised to learn that it took about 40 years to create the gardens.
The symmetrical and uniform design fascinates people.
It was a beautiful place where nature and design were in harmony.
There were fewer people in the back, and there were places where you could relax.
When you visit, try to find your favorite spot~

Mont Saint-Michel is a world heritage site that represents France, and has been rebuilt and destroyed over hundreds of years.
The sight of the fortress walls stretching around the small island of about 1km around the monastery is a spectacular sight whether you look at it from afar or up close.
The monastery, churches, and cathedrals have things to see everywhere, so you can spend a rich time there.
The island is made up of steep slopes and stairs.
There are many tourists, and the roads are narrow, so we recommend that you go there with as little luggage as possible and comfortable shoes.

The Sacré-Cœur Basilica.
Located atop the 130-meter-high hill of Montmartre, this basilica is renowned for its beautiful Byzantine architecture, particularly its striking white dome.
Inside, it houses one of the world's largest mosaics, depicting Christ and the Virgin Mary.
Additionally, from the top of the basilica, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view, overlooking the Eiffel Tower and the Seine River.
At night, it is illuminated, creating a magical atmosphere.

🇫🇷France Orangerie Museum
The first museum I visited in my trip to France
I bought a two-day pass that allows unlimited visits to museums in Paris, and made a reservation for admission in advance in Japan. I went to see it first thing in the morning.
The Orangerie Museum displays Monet's water lilies, and sunlight enters from the ceiling, allowing you to view the paintings in natural light.
The moment you enter, you're engulfed in Monet's atmosphere, and the refined space never lets you get bored, no matter how long you stay. It was a wonderful time.
I bought the usual postcard and headed to the next museum. 🏃♀️

Loire Castles
We took an optional tour from Paris to visit the Loire castles of Chambord, Chenonceau, Clos Lucé, and Amboise.
You can't see everything in one day, so it's best to take a leisurely tour on a private tour.
Chambord is a fairly large castle, so it takes a while to see the whole thing.
Chateau Chenonceau is a beautiful castle built on water.
Clos Lucé is where Leonardo da Vinci spent his later years. The interior from that time and reproductions of da Vinci's inventions are on display.

[France] The castle that was the model for the live-action film Beauty and the Beast
📍Château de Chambord
Château de Chambord is a castle that makes you feel like you've entered the world of medieval Europe. It is one of the World Heritage Sites.
It was the model for the live-action film Beauty and the Beast.
It was conceived by Leonardo da Vinci and built for Francis I.
It is the largest and most impressive castle in the Loire Valley, and is a representative example of French Renaissance architecture.
It is said that Francis I was impressed by the splendor of Renaissance art during his Italian expedition and decided to build a castle incorporating that architectural style after returning home.
It was actually built not as a residence for Francis I, but as a symbol of power, with its gorgeous, beautiful and spacious gardens, and as a place to stay during hunting, and its environment surrounded by forests makes it an ideal location.
The second photo shows the spiral staircase, one of the highlights of the Château de Chambord.
It's not an ordinary spiral staircase.
This is a double spiral staircase, said to have been designed by Leonardo da Vinci.
The two pairs of staircases spiral without intersecting, allowing people to ascend and descend without passing each other.
It's interesting, isn't it?♡
When my mother and I actually went down the stairs from different entrances, we never passed each other once.🙃

✅Colmar is a city in France, but it's more convenient to get there from Basel Airport in Switzerland. Take the train (c12 to Mulhouse) from the airport. Transfer at Mulhouse Station (c20+ to Strasbourg). It takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes to get from the airport to Colmar.
✅It can also be accessed from Gare du Nord in France in about 2.5 hours (line 807b)

Allobroges Park Hotel
A hotel in Annecy, southeastern France.
It's a small hotel, reasonably priced, and the staff were kind and friendly, which left a good impression.
The room isn't large, but it's clean and comfortable. There are skylights directly above the bed and the toilet, so you can wake up to sunlight in the morning. As with most European hotels, there is no TV, refrigerator, or toothpaste.
The breakfast is a typical French selection, centered around bread, ham, and cheese. You can make boiled eggs, adjusting the hardness to your liking. #Francetourism #FranceTrip #France

The Orangerie Museum in France, where Monet's water lilies are on display. In this beautiful, refined museum with a white base, there are many breathtakingly beautiful paintings on display. Monet's water lilies are particularly impressive.
I also fell in love at first sight with a water lily-themed notebook in the souvenir shop inside the museum 🌷 Be sure to buy one when you visit!
🚨Advance reservations recommended
The line is divided into same-day tickets and reservations, but the line on the day didn't move at all... so I gave up and made a reservation online the next day.

Introducing the Seine River, the origin of the name Paris
The Seine River in France is 776km long and flows through the center of Paris, dividing it into north and south.
The history of Paris began when the Celtic Parisii settled on the Île de la Cité, an island in the middle of the Seine, and the origin of the name "Paris" comes from this.
When you stroll along the river, you can blend into the stylish atmosphere of Paris and feel like you're abroad, with elderly people relaxing on benches and people walking while listening to music.

[Paris] Surprisingly satisfying gluten-free food! "Boulangerie Chambelland"
[Boulangerie Chambelland]
Location: 3 minutes walk from Parmentier Station
Atmosphere/Facilities: 1 seating inside and on the terrace
Recommended points: High-quality gluten-free bread and pastries
Average price: 800 yen and up
Rating: ★★★
This shop has a wide variety of high-quality breads and baked goods that you wouldn't know were gluten-free unless you were told.
The cafe eclair had a light dough and cafe cream with just the right amount of sweetness. I also bought fig and walnut bread and apple crumble cake, and both were delicious without even realizing they were gluten-free.
It's a bit pricey because they use high-quality ingredients, but it's a recommended boulangerie that even health-conscious people can use on a daily basis.

[Ancient capital of Normandy] Rouen🇫🇷
Rouen is an ancient city in the Normandy region of France🇫🇷. It is a town with a calm atmosphere. The sunset🌆 is also beautiful.
Notre Dame Cathedral in Rouen is famous for its 151m spire, the longest in France, and for being painted by the Impressionist master Monet. It is certainly impressive. .
Rouen is recommended because it has many other must-see spots such as the "Joan of Arc Church" built in the square where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake, and the Rouen Museum of Fine Arts, which has a rich collection of Impressionist works🇫🇷

When you think of France, Mont Saint-Michel comes to mind 🪽
Mont Saint-Michel, located in Normandy, is surrounded by the sea on all sides, and the entire town is built on a rocky mountain like a fortress, making it an unusual shape. After some research, I found out that it began in 708 when Archangel Michael appeared in a dream to Bishop Aubert and told him to build a cathedral on the mountain 🪽.
My impression of visiting was that the silhouette of Mont Saint-Michel is easier to see from afar lol. Once inside, there are many narrow streets like a maze, which was interesting in its own way.

Munch in Mont Saint-Michel
#0yentravel
Nice to meet you. I'm not Jambori-oneesan, but Munch-oneesan. From early to mid-July, I went on a trip to Europe to bring Munch back home for a short time.
In France, Munch insisted on going, so we went to Mont Saint-Michel by car.
As expected, Munch was very moved and had a smirking face.
Also, when we went from Japan to Europe, the flight route bypassed a certain part of Russia, so we also passed over Norway, and Munch was lost in thought as he remembered the fjords of his hometown.
