In Marrakech, Morocco, the El Badi Palace is a must-visit. Also known as the Bahia Palace, the El Badi Palace is a complex of buildings with a long history. The palace is magnificent, the gardens are beautiful, and the surrounding old streets are also very prosperous.

It was a well-planned exhibition that depicted the inspiration and fashion of this man (Yves Saint Laurent). My teenage sons were all immersed in the exhibits related to him. We sat around the fountain for a long time and hoped we could leave with some debris!

The building uses a range of materials including terracotta, concrete and terracotta-colored terrazzo made from Moroccan stone. The upper part of the facade is made of bricks, a simple earth color that blends into the surrounding environment and the colors of the Sahara Desert, reflecting the style of Africa. But these red bricks are not simply stacked together, but there are 6 different combinations to create a woven pattern, meaning that bricks show the texture of fashion fabrics, making the entire museum a permanent high-end custom.

I never expected to enjoy a photography museum as much as I did. This museum is located down a lot of winding alleys so good luck finding it but if you do you won't regret it. At any one time they display 150 photos that appear to be from around 1880 to 1940 or so and they are all beautifully haunting, especially the ones on the first floor. It was a rather eerie experience looking at photos of long gone Berbers and Africans with amazingly handsome faces. I would love to come back next time to see another set of photos. If there are any you particularly like you can always buy copies.

ABDEL SAMAD
Great, beautiful courtyard garden. TOTALLY COVERED in stunning Moroccan mosaic tiles. The museum itself is meh but you can tell people are all just waiting around to get into Bacha cafe, but still a most stunning waiting area to relax and be at peace with the greenery (i.e orange trees and birds) Worth going to if you’re trying to see some of the best Moroccan courtyard gardens.amazing

ABDEL SAMAD
Very beautiful museum which traces the history and art of weaving Moroccan carpets from different regions of the Kingdom, both urban and rural carpets. This museum located in two beautiful riads preserved with authenticity is well worth a detour.
