🚀 Exciting News from Space Race! 🚀 On May 11th, were proudly launched the rockets of the IV edition of the Space Race, ERT's educational project designed to introduce first year #students to the world of #rocketry. Throughout the first semester, participants attended workshops to develop essential rocketry skills. I had the pleasure of presenting our paper on agile design methodology for bi-liquid engines at the 2024 SPACE PROPULSION CONFERENCE in Glasgow. Alongside This K. and Florent Piton, we summarized our EPFL bachelor project, which took our regenerative LPBF engine from concept to production in just 16 weeks. 👉 Link to the paper : https://lnkd.in/eBMvbyNF Additionally, another paper by Théotime Lemoine, Hugo Trombert, and Leonard Bongiovanni detailed the design and development of electric pumps for DEMO-B2, our first pump-fed engine. As Chief Technical Officer of the EPFL Rocket Team, it is an honor to advance student-led research in space propulsion. I extend my gratitude to EPFL, Dr. Eric Boillat, Professor Pierre-Alain Mausli, Mr. Bruno Berger, Professor Flavio Noca, and Ms. Emmanuelle David for their invaluable support. We are excited to share a milestone in our propulsion systems: the introduction of e-pumps. Our new e-pumps help us pressurize the propellants within the combustion chamber of our engine DEMO-B2. They play a pivotal role in enabling optimal performance and stability during flight.🚀 Thanks to CFturbo, we refined the fluid dynamics of our pumps. Through their innovative software, we have been able to precisely define the fluidic domain of our pumps, facilitating seamless integration into our CAD workflow.
