What an inspiring and impactful AIT Swiss-Africa Alumni Meeting 2024 in Stellenbosch! 🎉 It was a great honor to serve as MC and conversation strategist for this remarkable event, which brought together #innovators, #investors #governmentofficials, #ecosystembuilders, and other stakeholders to celebrate over a decade of fostering innovation, #research, #science and #technology between #Switzerland and #SouthAfrica—and more recently #Ghana, #Kenya, #Nigeria, and #Rwanda. The event was both forward-looking and reflective. #SwissConsul in South Africa, Richard Jud, reaffirmed #Switzerland’s commitment to this collaboration, while Science & Technology Counsellor Jacquelene Friedenthal highlighted the rich history of Swiss-Africa AIT. Reconnecting with friends, forging new connections, and engaging with such a dynamic group of innovators was truly energizing. These visionaries are tackling local challenges while creating world-class solutions for global issues in various sectors including #healthcare, #climate, #foodsystems, and beyond. A huge congratulations to the organizers for an outstanding event! Special thanks to Erich Thaler and the amazing University of Basel team for the excellent collaboration.
