🗻 🏔️ 🗻 International Mountain Day: Protecting Our Mountain Heritage 🌄 Today, on International Mountain Day, ANOC celebrates the world’s mountains—natural treasures that sustain 15% of the global population, support biodiversity, and provide vital freshwater, energy, and medicines. 🌍💧 As we look ahead to the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games in 2026, ANOC is committed to sustainable solutions that protect these irreplaceable ecosystems. Yet, mountains and their communities face increasing threats from climate change and overuse. Here’s a recap of the topics discussed: 🔑 Day 1 Highlights Accreditation, Sport Operations, and Transportation—drawing essential lessons from Paris 2024 and exploring ways to enhance these areas for LA 2028.
