Did you know that globally I billion people access healthcare facilities without electricity and that less than half of HCFs don’t have a place for handwashing? Imagine the experience for millions of women who give birth in such facilities … I am excited to be co-lead with the WHO at the Strategic Roundtable on WASH, waste and electricity in healthcare facilities in Geneva this week. Together, this dynamic group of professionals from different sectors and organizations are innovating ways of working together to address this development challenge.

March 10 was a landmark day with respect to Indo Swiss relationship as India signs a trade agreement with Switzerland , Norway , Iceland & Liechtenstein ( EFTA ) which is expected to infuse $100 B in next 15 years and create 1 million jobs ! Kudos to the entire team across the countries who have been working tirelessly for the past several years in successfully crossing this finishing line by inking this deal. It was indeed an honor and privilege to be a part of this historic day alongwith our SICC team. #swissindianchamberofcommerce
