⚡ Insights from the ZHAW IFM Institut für Facility Management at Migros-Genossenschafts-Bund ⚡ The language of energy. Universal, but often unheard. 🤷♀️ Our project team leader Fabian Kraaz had the opportunity to experience this principle of energy flow at first hand with the students of the ZHAW IFM Institute for Facility Management, from its extraction to its release into the room. 📊 They were able to apply the Faust formula not only in theory but also in practice. ⚒ - Energy is fair. It can be transformed into various forms, but it can never be created or destroyed. It is therefore incorrect to say that heat or cold energy is generated. Rather, thermal energy, for example, is extracted and accumulated by means of a heat pump and additional electrical energy and brought to a usable temperature level. - The formula for thermal energy, Q=m*c*dT, and the corresponding rule of thumb kWh=m3*1.1*°K are not just physical formulae - they are the key to a deeper understanding of system operation. 💭 Review of EXPO REAL (Messe München) 💭 Sustainable construction, smart property conversion and compliance were also the trends at this year's EXPO REAL. Despite the subdued market sentiment, this year's edition attracted over 40,000 participants from 75 countries with slightly fewer exhibitors than last year. As part of ‘Compliance’, ESG enjoys a high level of attention. The issue is how to implement this pragmatically. Use case at Expo Real 🎙: “Applied ESG using the example of over 500 Zurich Insurance real estate” The first presentation on Tuesday morning 🌄 was Leo Putz, CEO of Avelon, who presented the ESG/media reporting implementation project at Zurich Insurance. Despite the early morning hour, a large number of listeners took the opportunity to see why the company's own processes should be automated first. The technical automation comes later.  In this way, a total of 2240 energy measures can be implemented economically by third-party companies in 540 properties 🏢.
