The Baloise Session 2024 came to a glittering end on Friday evening with the «Finale Virtuoso» and the concerts by Jacob Collier and Tony Ann. Over ten evenings at the Event Hall of the Basel Fair, visitors experienced unforgettable concerts featuring stars such as Take That, Seal, Robert Plant, Rea Garvey and Alvaro Soler. All in all, 15,500 music lovers flocked to the festival this year, resulting in a capacity of 100%.     Among the highlights were performances by up-and-coming Australian artist Jacotène, British superstar Mika, the American shooting star Teddy Swims and talented multi-instrumentalist Jacob Collier. With Marc Sway, Nemo and Loco Escrito, the spotlight was also on the Swiss music scene. But music was not only celebrated at the Event Hall. The pop-up concerts in the picturesque courtyard of Basel’s Town Hall and the Liestal Youth Centre, featuring Basel artist Skip, also drew an enthusiastic audience. Plus, in Basel City and the neighbouring canton of Basel Country, rapper Morow inspired schoolchildren to engage with the hip-hop genre. And shortly before his own appearance, Teddy Swims held a spontaneous busking session with Swiss cellist Jodok Vuille in front of the main entrance to the Baloise Session. The Baloise Session 2024 once more showed how essential live music is for our society. Again and again, the passionate interaction between artists and the public creates a magical atmosphere that touches us all. Every moment bore witness to the power of the music that brings people together. We are grateful for the support of our visitors and sponsors and can’t wait to create more unforgettable experiences next year, from 16 October to 6 November.
