The Annual Bertschi Employee Assembly took place this January 18! The highlight of the event was the jubilees of 136 employees and their 10, 20, and 30 year work anniversaries with Bertschi. The rousing rounds of applause were well deserved, and we both congratulate and extend our gratitude to all of you who've reached this milestone. We can definitely call ourselves a fortunate company, to have so many loyal employees that kept their hearts yellow for so many years. It is the continued outstanding service that our employees bring to the table every day that make up the success of Bertschi Group. Part of the Bertschi supply chain portfolio is the containerisation of our customer's products. Using a tank container farm and tank container ships, leads to cost reduction (expenses only for material actually stored), less handlings (direct loading into CTU reduces contamination risks), shorter reaction times (container loaded and ready for shipping), more flexibility (storage capacity increased/reduced according to needs), and improved carbon footprint (less operations, less road, more intermodal). If calculated correctly, a container-based setup is not only way more flexible, but also cost-efficient. All this is in stark contrast to parcel tankers and tank farms that have fixed costs, fixed locations, and fixed capacities of storage space at high costs. In December, Bertschi driving instructors from our subsidiaries all over Europe arrived at headquarters. They gathered here for the annual Driver Instructor Day! Meticulously prepared by the Bertschi team of professional Behavior Based Safety (BBS) Trainers, the training aims to ensure that in every Bertschi locality in Europe, we have an expert point-person and instructor that continuously trains and enforces safety and the highest driving standards for our drivers. This is of course in addition to the annual mandatory trainings that every driver goes through, led throughout the year by our BBS trainers. All Bertschi drivers go through theoretical lectures and practical workshops, trained to put safety as a top priority in the business. This demanding and costly process has proven to be worth it, as it results in a robust pool of drivers that are trained to the Bertschi standard. #Bertschi #logistics #drivertraining
