BioAlps empowers the Swiss Health Valley and is Western Switzerland life sciences cluster. The Association offers a dynamic network in #medtech, #biotech, #pharma, #digitalhealth, #foodtech and #cosmetics. With more than 1400 companies, 63 research and academic institutions, 67 public institutions and innovation parks, 5 000 students and researchers, 35 000 jobs, the region is the number one and most diversified life sciences ecosystem in Europe. Startup companies, large multinationals and support organisms concentrate in a small, attractive geographic area with a great infrastructure, and are all working together across the cantons of Western Switzerland in a close-knit network. BioAlps Association: • Organises networking events: next BioAlps Networking Day is 9 November 2023 in Geneva (Campus Biotech) • Promotes and strengthens synergies among its members in the academic and private sectors • Fully supports the transfer of technologies and competencies from academic to industrial settings • Stimulates the development of new businesses • Develops the exchange of information and resources between scientists, the financial community and government representatives • Establishes relationships with similar initiatives in life sciences at the local and national levels • Provides a communication network throughout Switzerland and internationally in which to disseminate information on its initiatives • Offers close and friendly community to all life sciences actors BioAlps is an initiative of the Cantons of Bern, Fribourg, Vaud, Valais, Neuchâtel, Geneva and Jura supported by the SECO (Swiss) State Secretariat for Economic Affairs under the NRP (New Regional Policy). The association is also supported by the 15 academic institutions.

Known for its precision engineering and expertise in advanced medical device manufacturing for spine pathologies such as deformities, osteoporosis and thoraco-lumbar fusion.
