The Breitling Emergency: A Watch That Saves Lives Yesterday at the Then & Now pop-up museum, our guests got a glimpse into the history of the Breitling Emergency watch. The conversation was opened by Gianfranco G. M. Gentile, Breitling Global Head of Heritage, and then led by Natasha Mekhail, Breitling's Senior Manager of Editorial & Publishing, who guided us through the evening. Explorer Bertrand Piccard—known for his round-the-world balloon voyage aboard the Breitling Orbiter 3—and journalist and watch specialist Gerard Tubb shared fascinating insights into the watch's incredible evolution. As the world's first timepiece equipped with an international distress beacon, the Breitling Emergency has redefined adventure and safety for explorers worldwide. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Bertrand, Gerard, Gianfranco, Natasha, and everyone who joined us to celebrate the Breitling Emergency's remarkable legacy! #Breitling #HeritageTalk #140years

The Navitimer: Breitling’s Icon—Heritage Talk Yesterday, chronograph collector and Breitling brand historian Fred S. Mandelbaum, alongside museum guide Philip Blumer, took guests on an in-depth journey through the history of the Breitling Navitimer at the Then & Now pop-up museum. From its origins as a pilot’s tool in 1952 to its status today as a cultural icon, the Navitimer remains one of the longest continuously produced wristwatches of all time. Attendees also had the rare opportunity to explore the intricacies of vintage Navitimers and more recent models firsthand during a touch-and-feel session. A big thank you to Fred, Philip, and everyone who joined us to celebrate the Navitimer’s legacy! In case you also want to learn more about the Navitimer, book your own visit to the museum: https://lnkd.in/dAUPEYWv #Breitling #Navitimer #140years

Watchmaking meets heritage As part of our 140th anniversary celebrations, Breitling’s HR team recently organized a special initiative for our Operations Squad: a visit to the pop-up museum in Zurich. Over 300 team members from Grenchen and La Chaux-de-Fonds had the unique opportunity to connect with Breitling’s rich history, exploring iconic timepieces, groundbreaking innovations, and the craftsmanship that defines our brand. These field trips were more than just a journey through 140 years of heritage—they were a reminder of how each watch we create contributes to Breitling’s legacy. Did you know that the average person unknowingly consumes the equivalent of one credit card in plastic every week? At Breitling, we are committed to doing our part to address the plastic crisis. In just the last year, we’ve replaced and recycled 4 tons of plastic—that’s the weight of 800,000 credit cards prevented from ending up in nature and breaking down into harmful microplastics that infiltrate our food systems. Through our own actions, we are proud to amplify our commitment to reducing plastic through our partnership with Surfrider in protecting our planet’s vital ecosystems. The Surfrider Foundation fights for plastic reduction, ocean protection, beach access, coasts & climate and clean water. Learn more about our mission here: https://lnkd.in/dDXE44BH Want to make a difference, too? Share your tips in the comments on how you reduce plastic waste in your daily life. Together, small actions can make a big impact. #Breitling #SquadOnAMission Georges K.
