Today was Swiss National Future Day! 🌟 This inspiring day focuses on promoting gender equality from an early age in career and life planning. This year, we were thrilled to welcome 48 children, who got hands-on experience with us! After a tour of our facilities, they went through the entire process of creating their very own snow globes — from designing to assembling, and finally seeing the results of their work. Under the theme "A Boss for a Day," two girls joined Cornelia Haas-Sauer and Veronika Schelling, gaining a unique insight into leadership. Yesterday, we had the pleasure of officially welcoming all new apprentices who have joined us since August at our headquarters in Winterthur. 🎉 At Burckhardt Compression, we are proud to train apprentices and interns worldwide. This year, we’re excited to welcome 25 new apprentices for the 2024/2025 training year in Winterthur. They are beginning their apprenticeships in the following fields: business administration specialist, engineering design technician, IT specialist, logistics, polymechanic, production technician and mechanical engineering technician. We are proud to currently train 53 apprentices at our Winterthur site, representing almost 5% of our local workforce. We are making a valuable contribution in the fight against the skills shortage, supporting not only our company but also society as a whole.
