In her book Terminer en beauté (Ending in Beauty), she articulated her belief that she was “old enough to die,” a conviction she explores further in the documentary, where she draws a parallel between her own experience and that of Richard Gärtner, the 78-year-old protagonist of Ferdinand von Schirach’s play Gott. Jackie the Wolf portrays Jacqueline’s determined yet conflicted journey toward assisted death at 76, capturing both her steadfast resolve and the moments of doubt that punctuate it. Hosting aroung 90 experts from around the world during the launch of the film "#HearMyVoice" was an incredibly rewarding experience. The event highlighted the importance of amplifying the voices of trauma survivors in the treatment and diagnosis of post-traumatic sequelae. The trauma experts emphasized the significant role of culture and mass media, advocating against the tendency to pathologize each post-trauma symptom. A heartfelt thank you to our distinguished speakers: Andreas Maercker, STEPHEN ASATSA, PhD, Prof. Vincent Sezibera, Mirjam Straub Ortiz, and Dynamo Ndacyayisenga for their invaluable contributions. «In Züri a de Börse ischs ne völlig gliich / Was z Kapstadt louft zwüsche Arm o Riich» – «Herr und Frau Mandela göi üs wenig ah / Mer sii wiit weg vo dem Südafrika», sang Polo National 1987. – – – Danke, Daniela Janser!

Thu 20.2.2025, 6.30 pm – 8 pm Panel discussion ""Neutralität und Wohlstand" at the Aargauer Kunsthaus – I'm excited to share the upcoming panel discussion "Neutrality and Prosperity" / "Neutralität und Wohlstand", the first of the five-part series "Neutrality and …", which I co-curated with the Aargauer Kunsthaus. I am especially passionate about this one for its dear guests: Lea Haller, Masha Madörin and Rami Msallam! Be there... and check out the exhibition "Modell Neutralität" beforehand. – The discussion series addresses the changing significance of neutrality in the context of global politics and brings together expertise from the worlds of art, politics and science. Each event highlights a specific topic related to neutrality. The first event is dedicated to the relationship between neutrality and prosperity, whereby Switzerland is often accused of benefiting from the conflicts of the great powers, while moral and ethical principles take a back seat. Switzerland’s role in the art and gold trade during National Socialism and with apartheid South Africa will be discussed, as well as current issues relating to arms exports. Experts such as Masha Madörin, Lea Haller, Rami Msallam and Denise Bertschi are expected to take part. The discussion will be moderated by Marco Schnurrenberger. – More infos: https://lnkd.in/e62HPfJZ
