We are thrilled to announce that the VAEriety project, funded by Novartis’ FreeNovation program, is set to make a significant impact in preclinical #drugresearch. By developing innovative AI to bridge the gap between animal models and human biology, the project aims to enhance the success rate of clinical trials. The Novartis Research Foundation through its FreeNovation program supports unconventional project proposals that are often overlooked by mainstream funding programs. Why is it important? Preclinical drug research often relies on animal models that may not fully replicate human biology, potentially jeopardizing clinical trial success. VAEriety will push the boundaries of AI with the development of a neural network model to advance species translatability. Initially this model will be applied to medulloblastoma, a rare and challenging cerebellar cancer. The collaboration between CSEM and its partner team in Korea aims to significantly improve the translation from preclinical to clinical success. Find out more by visiting FreeNovation: https://lnkd.in/ecJzgDjn We look forward to sharing more about our progress and results in the future – stay tuned!
