Highlighting our commitment to helping livestock producers across the globe improve sustainable productivity and quality of life, on 4 October Datamars acquired Pulse NeedleFree Systems, Inc. – a pioneer in needle-free injection technology for the animal health industry. Pulse’s unique needle-free technology helps producers treat and manage disease in a non-invasive way. It addresses critical challenges, including the prevention of disease transmission between animals, as well as improving animal welfare and operational efficiency. The move adds a needle-free offering to the Datamars Livestock existing global portfolio and provides a robust platform for ongoing innovation in this important area. Andrew Shepherd, Global Head of Business Development - Animal Health Delivery at Datamars says: "This acquisition enables Datamars and Pulse to work together to bring this great technology to more farmers and producers around the world. We will also leverage our capabilities for ongoing technology developments that help producers identify, treat and manage their livestock in the best and most efficient way for wellbeing, productivity and profitability.” Edward Stevens, CEO of Pulse NeedleFree Systems, says Datamars shares Pulse’s commitment to advancing animal health and sustainable productivity. “With Datamars’ support and leadership in commercialization, we look forward to scaling the impact of our needle-free technologies and leveraging new development opportunities in-line with Datamars’ vision for the future." While Pulse has firmly established itself in the U.S. swine and dairy markets, the company’s versatile range and innovative solutions present opportunities for expansion into new species and regions. #datamarslivestock #animalhealth #needlefree https://lnkd.in/gnCuZUNw

Datamars worked alongside others to establish global standards for animal identification technology back in the late 1980’s. A step that helped pioneer the worldwide pet identification and reunification sector. It meant technologies could align so no matter where you were, what brand of microchip your pet had, or what brand of reader was used to scan the animal – it could be identified. Decades later Datamars’ PetLink technology helps reunite over 26,000 beloved pets a year with their human families. August 15th was national #ChecktheChip day in the US. For our #PetLink team it was a great way to reach out to the millions of pet owners we’re in contact with to remind them to check their pet’s microchip and ensure their owner details are up to date so they can rest assured that should the animal become lost, they can be identified and brought home. Microchipped pets are 2.5x more likely to be identified and reunited with their owners than those without a chip, so it’s also a good reason to encourage new pet owners! Are you ready if your pet goes missing? #PetLink #CheckTheChip #PetSafety #MicrochipAwareness #RFID

When devastating flooding hit Porto Alegre recently our people on the ground swung into action, helping each other with the support of our global family. Fourteen of our team lost their homes and possessions and our site was damaged, requiring a shift to another location in the city. A few months on, we’re hugely proud of the way our people (and others) have rallied around our Brazilian colleagues, raising funds for those who lost everything, and getting our new site in Cachoeirinha up and running. But sadly, as is often the case with flooding, beloved pets and animals were also impacted with people forced to leave them behind as waters rose. Familiar with natural disasters, our Datamars Pet team in Brazil has been quick to step up and help with reunification efforts. Working alongside Petlove FlyPet Be220 and vets, the team has been busy scanning animals for microchips at emergency rescue shelters. The process is slow as many microchipped animals are not registered while others have no chip at all. As vet (and commercial analyst) Manoela Sinhorelli with Datamars Pet says today, more than ever before, it's important pets have their own identity by being microchipped. “It’s the only way to know who they are and who their owner is but in Brazil, microchipping is not yet widespread. We’re working diligently every day to get pets back home and educate owners, and even veterinarians, about the importance of pet identification not just for quicker reunification when a disaster like this strikes, but for everyday care, population control and disease management in the future.” Thanks to these combined efforts, relief is being provided to both beloved pets and people during this challenging time. Connecting with customers and championing sustainable agriculture and animal health solutions is at the heart of our Datamars Livestock business. The team’s global reach means valued conversations are taking place every day around the world be it on farms, with channel partners or at important tradeshows like France’s Terres en Fête or Fieldays® in New Zealand. A common topic of conversation is the increasing role technology is playing in enabling more sustainable farming practices and supporting productivity and profitability for farmers. As Vincent MORICE, Datamars Livestock’s Sales Manager in France shares, young farmers in particular are increasingly eager for technology to enhance herd management efficiency. And our Datamars Livestock team is proudly championing solutions to support this shift. #datamars #sustainableag #worksbettertogether
One of our guiding principles is ‘Works Better Together.’ Every year, our regional teams attend various industry trade shows to visit customers, collaborate with channel partners, and stay up to date with trending topics. We believe in working together toward a sustainable future and enjoy shows that give us opportunities to stay connected!
