As environmental challenges intensify, industries across the globe must accelerate their shift towards sustainable practices. One sector playing a critical role in this transition is the plastics and composites industry. However, a key barrier to progress is the scarcity of reliable, up-to-date life cycle data specific to plastics. Enter the IPC Centre Technique Industriel de la Plasturgie et des Composites, an organization focused on creating high-quality, sector-specific datasets to support the plastics sector's sustainability efforts. Through their collaboration with ecoinvent, IPC is making vital life cycle inventory (LCI) data more accessible and transparent, empowering companies to conduct more accurate Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) and adopt sustainable materials and practices. In our latest blog interview, IPC’s Timothée HARVEY and Catherine Colin discuss how this partnership with ecoinvent is helping to bring the industry closer to a circular economy, ensuring better decision-making across the plastics and composites sectors. ⇢ Read the full interview: https://lnkd.in/evDnDCZf #IPC #ecoinvent #ecoinventdatabase #sustainability #plastics #composites #circulareconomy #LifeCycleAssessment #environmentalimpact
