Their careers followed very different paths but both led them to work in M&A, one for an industrial group in the United States and the other for a major Swiss bank. At the turn of the millennium, they joined major consulting firms, where they met and collaborated for several years. JPh Hottinguer Corporate Finance SA was then created with the eponymous family to focus exclusively on M&A consulting. The two managers perform an MBO and the company is renamed Edelweiss M&A Partners SA.
