For the start of this new semester, the #CCTC had the pleasure of meeting the incoming PhD candidates during the PhD #WelcomeDay. We were thrilled to present our range of services, designed to support them throughout their academic journey and help them prepare for the transition to their future careers 💼 Welcome to all the new doctoral candidates! We’re excited to work together and support you on this journey!

Thank you to ELCA Group for partnering with us to organize one of our last employer events through an escape game 🤝 🔍 This interactive experience gave our students a chance to strengthen teamwork and problem-solving skills while having fun!

The CCTC was honored to participate in the 3rd edition of the EDCE Research Day, an annual event dedicated to fostering scientific exchange and building connections among EDCE students and thesis directors. Tamara Milosevic had the pleasure of presenting the range of services offered by the CCTC and engaging in discussions on the importance of developing transversal skills for the future careers of PhD students. La semaine dernière, dans le cadre du Forum EPFL, nos collègues du CCTC, Aurélie Secrétan-Klaye et Philippe Ory, ont animé une table ronde industrie sur le thème : « Moving abroad and coming back: what’s the impact on your career? ». Quatre Alumni de l'EPFL, Valentine Golfier-Vetterli, Anne-Sophie Van de Velde, Roland Meyer et Jean-Matthieu Sternberg, ont partagé leurs parcours et conseils devant une cinquantaine d’étudiant·es intéressé·es par une carrière à l'international. Leur témoignage a offert un aperçu précieux sur les avantages et les défis d’une expérience professionnelle à l'étranger. Un grand merci à eux pour leurs interventions inspirantes et pour avoir pris le temps d’échanger avec nos étudiant·es ! *** Last week, as part of the Forum EPFL, our colleagues from the CCTC, Aurélie Secrétan-Klaye and Philippe Ory, hosted an industry roundtable on the theme: “Moving abroad and coming back: what’s the impact on your career?” Four EPFL Alumni—Valentine Golfier-Vetterli, Anne-Sophie Van de Velde, Roland Meyer, and Jean-Matthieu Sternberg—shared their journeys and insights with around fifty students interested in pursuing an international career. Their testimonies offered valuable perspectives on the benefits and challenges of working abroad. Thank you to them for their inspiring contributions and for taking the time to engage with our students!

Cette année encore, nous avons eu le plaisir de participer au Forum EPFL, une opportunité précieuse pour échanger et renforcer nos liens avec des étudiant·es en quête de conseils afin de mieux se préparer à entrer dans le monde professionnel et construire leur future carrière. Last week, Helena Kovacs and Aurélie Secrétan-Klaye from CCTC led two workshops as part of UNIL-EPFL Health Days 2024 ! Titled "What are the right choices for you: Play a game and find out”, the workshops brought together more than twenty people from EPFL, including staff members, teachers, postdocs, alumni and students. The workshop featured a specially designed Reflectory game, modified for our EPFL community to explore a variety of personal and professional choices. We would like to thank Albertine Kolendowska from the organization of Health Days and Aude Poriau-Schneider, creator of REFLECTORY_jeu ✨

Last week, over 100 EPFL students had the opportunity to attend a conference featuring Claude Nicollier, Andrew Kane, and representatives from the European Space Agency - ESA. The event gave students valuable insights into ESA career opportunities, while they were also inspired by Claude Nicollier’s engaging presentation. We would like to thank SXS- Space Exchange Switzerland once again for this great collaboration, and Claude Nicollier for inspiring our students and sparking their dreams ✨🌍🚀 *** Il y a une semaine, plus de 100 étudiant·es de l'EPFL ont eu l’opportunité d'assister à une conférence donnée par Claude Nicollier, Andrew Kane, ainsi que plusieurs autres représentant·es de l'European Space Agency - ESA.
