Back from MUSEUM CONNECTIONS Paris 2025.🇫🇷 Two focused days of discussions with cultural institutions and tourism professionals have given us valuable insights into the European market. Key takeaways include the strong recognition of Swiss quality standards and growing interest in accessible AI solutions for different types of cultural experiences - from museums to famous cultural heritage sites. Further, the positive feedback on our AI system's accuracy and conversational quality was particularly valuable, as was the enthusiasm for integrating AI throughout the entire visitor journey - from during the visit to post-visit experience. Thank you again to all who visited us at our booth. Looking forward to following up on our discussions.

Recent statistics from the Swiss Federal Statistical Office show that Swiss museums are stronger than ever!🇨🇭 Swiss museums are thriving, with 15 million visitors in 2023—a record-breaking recovery that surpasses pre-pandemic levels. This recovery, however, comes with its challenges. Despite the cultural richness of Swiss museums—home to over 74 million preserved objects— only 17% of institutions offer modern audio solutions, leaving significant gaps in how diverse audiences can engage with their collections. This is precisely the challenge we are addressing at Gaudio. Through our AI-driven guides, we enable museums to deliver audio narrations, visual descriptions, and simplified content, changing the visitor experience into one that is inclusive, dynamic, and accessible to all. Further, Switzerland’s density of cultural institutions—1,142 museums, one of the highest per capita globally—makes it a unique landscape for such innovation. The openness we have seen post-COVID toward adopting new technologies shows that now is the time to act. By connecting cultural heritage with the latest technologies, we can make museum collections more accessible to everyone. 🔗 Learn more in our latest blog post: (Link is shared in the comments)

Experience is the best teacher. 💡 After over a month of public testing, we have already gained interesting insights into how visitors interact with conversational AI in museums. An essential discovery: Simplicity drives engagement. After multiple iterations and supervised testing sessions, visitors naturally gravitate toward voice interactions over text - speaking directly to AI guides while exploring everything from technical details to historical stories. And everyone's clear favorite? Rico the Rat! 🐀 Through continuous testing and visitor feedback, we have refined our solution in ways only possible through real-world experiences - each conversation teaches us something new every time. Thank you to the Verkehrshaus der Schweiz team for this innovative partnership. If you have not experienced it yet, the Verkehrshaus der Schweiz is definitely worth a visit during these cold winter days! ❄️

Reflecting on our intensive weeks at The Accelerator by START Global, University of St.Gallen, and Switzerland Innovation Park Ost! 🚀 These five weeks were essential in shaping how we bring personalized AI guides to cultural institutions. The program equipped us with practical tools - from financial planning and go-to-market strategies with Melanie Gabriel to deepening our understanding of museum and visitor needs with Beat Walther. Raphael J. Kappeler's fundraising insights and Daniela Landherr's team-building sessions helped us build a stronger foundation for scaling our cultural tech solution. And lastly, regular roasting sessions refined our approach, ending in a great Demo Day. Congrats KUORI for winning the 25k CHF! Thanks to everyone involved for the valuable experience and to all mentors and fellow startups for their input. We look forward to implementing these insights while developing our AI-powered guides. We are back from MUTEC Leipzig with valuable insights to share. One lesson stood out clearly: The power of demonstration. Seeing our AI guides in action transformed initial curiosity into genuine understanding. What resonated most was how immediately people grasped the possibilities for efficiency and personalization in their institutions. We were particularly struck by the depth of AI discussions that emerged. Cultural professionals wanted to understand not just the technology, but its ethical implications and practical applications in their spaces. Most encouraging was the diverse range of institutions engaging with us - from art galleries and science centers to castles and botanical gardens. Each with exciting ideas on how Gaudio could enhance the experience for their guests. For us, this marks our entry into the German market. We are grateful for the thoughtful conversations and excited for the collaborations ahead. If you missed us at MUTEC, reach out—we would love to have a conversation!
