GLENCORE Nordenham has been awarded a climate protection contract by the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action!   The site will receive nearly €360 million over the next 15 years to support #Nordenham as it continues to make its operations more sustainable.   Nordenham is one of the oldest industrial companies in northwestern Germany and has been producing #lead and #zinc for over 100 years. The funding will be used to support projects aimed at reducing the site’s carbon emissions, helping Glencore responsibly source the #commodities that advance everyday life.

Jean-Claude Masengo was working as a teacher when he heard about a job opportunity at Glencore’s Mutanda Mining Sarl.   Now working as a Document Controller, he oversees checks on materials that are translated across MUMI’s operations. 📃📣   “Most of MUMI’s employees speak French and Swahili, but a lot of the documents they receive are in English,” explains Jean-Claude. “We provide the knowledge our people need to help them do their work safely and responsibly.”   Learn more about Jean-Claude’s life and work at MUMI here: https://lnkd.in/dRuKbfrZ   #AtTheCore
