We are humbled that the 2024 Swiss Innovation Fest brought entrepreneurs from three continents together in one virtual room to learn about the Canadian cleantech market and showcase their innovations. Now, you have the chance to see their winning pitches and pick your favourite! 🎥 https://lnkd.in/gbXPd3hu 🥇 irmos technologies AG (Panagiotis Martakis, Zurich, Switzerland) won first prize and received an exclusive Foresight Canada consultation, along with international business and global project management consultation with ISM Arts & Culture and Growth & Acquisitions introduction by Alpha Plexus . Irmos offers sensors and AI for safer, more sustainable infrastructure, translating vibrations from wind or traffic into structural health metrics. 🥈 Runner-up Composite Recycling (Smaranda Jaun, Ecublens, Switzerland) impressed the judges with their pyrolysis-based solution for GFRP waste, driving sustainability in manufacturing. Congratulations on winning the funding introduction by the guest investor PERA! 🥉 Third place and the audience vote went to Swiss Vault AG (Bhupinder Bhullar, Basel, Switzerland), with their data storage system designed to reduce data's CO2 footprint. This representative of the EPFL Innovation Park Tech4Regeneration accelerator program received, among other prizes, tech development consultation from Velocity Tech Inc. and consultation from the Serendipity Institute. Geothermal solutions were represented by Deepeex (electricity generation from radiogenic heat, Lausanne, Switzerland) and Borobotics GmbH (innovative robots for geothermal drilling, Winterthur, Switzerland). Hexem SA (Renens, Switzerland) pitched its rental wastewater treatment systems that produce RNG. Neology Hydrogen (Lutry, Switzerland) presented an ammonia cracking solution to enable hydrogen use for supply chain issues. Lagrange.AI (Melbourne, Australia/ Lausanne, Switzerland) also addressed current supply chain challenges with their cloud-based platform. Space4Good (The Hague, Netherlands) showcased their geospatial solution using satellites for environmental and social impact. All participating startups went home with prizes.
