This. Is. Huge. Hive Power announces today that it has closed its Seed+ round for €3.5M. 2025 will be the year of FLEXO. Are you ready? This comes at a key moment in the drive toward electrification of energy demand. We need more affordable EVs and a greener grid. However, renewables are outpacing the grid’s capacity to accommodate all the new energy. Hive Power’s algorithm as a service, FLEXO, aggregates electrified assets like EVs as a giant Virtual Power Plant, balancing the grid and delivering big paybacks to EV fleets and manufacturers. With a presence in Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, and Portugal, Hive Power is well-positioned to leverage this funding to bring its innovation to the DACH region, Nordics, and Benelux. It provides demand-side management to efficiently control energy flows," says Gianluca Corbellini, CEO of Hive Power. The software enables aggregated capacity, optimised demand, cost savings through time-shifted electricity use, and new revenue opportunities by delivering ancillary services to balance the grid. With rising energy costs, price volatility, and increasing adoption of renewable solar and wind energy, Hive Power addresses these trends by enabling pooled capacity, additional revenue streams via demand response contracts, reduced energy costs, and greater transparency through monitoring and reporting features. One notable customer, Clyde Mobility—a Swiss electric car subscription company—uses #FLEXO to aggregate the capacity of over 1,000 EVs, providing grid support services to the national transmission operator.
