📊 [#Reports] The Swiss #startup ecosystem demonstrated remarkable resilience in 2024, securing CHF 2.4 billion in venture capital. While overall funding saw a slight 8.5% dip and financing rounds adjusted after years of growth, this shift reflects a maturing market with new opportunities on the horizon. #Biotech and #cleantech sectors shined brightly, defying the overall trend. Biotech funding surged by 50% to CHF 739.2 million, while cleantech recorded a record number of financing rounds - highlighting Switzerland's growing focus on sustainable innovation. Western Switzerland in the Spotlight: ➡️ Etat de Vaud saw increased investment in healthtech. ➡️ Etat de Genève recorded an impressive 81.3% rise in funding. ➡️ Kanton Bern made headlines with CHF 117.85 million raised across 24 financing rounds - a new record for the canton! 🇨🇭[#LifeSciences] The SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics has inaugurated the Centre for Pathogen Bioinformatics (CPB) in Kanton Bern, a state-of-the-art facility enhancing genomic surveillance of infectious diseases.
