We are pleased to share that we have successfully signed a USD 1.2 billion revolving credit facility. The transaction initially launched at USD 900 million, has received strong support from IXM’s existing banking partners and has attracted new banks, leading to the deal being heavily oversubscribed and IXM opting to increase the facility size by USD 350m from the previous year. The RCF will be used for general trade and working capital finance purposes, including the refinancing of the existing USD 850 million 12-month revolving credit facility agreement signed in December 2023. Similar to IXM’s 2023 revolving credit facility agreement, the Facility is Sustainability Linked and includes KPIs supporting IXM’s strong commitment to continuously improve the ESG performance of its operations. “This annually rearranged facility highlights IXM’s escalated ambition of achieving more commercial successes in the metals trading sector”. This facility has received robust backing from IXM’s banking partners, with an expanded lender pool and increased transaction appetite compared to the prior year. In line with IXM’s commitment to sustainability, the facility is linked to specific sustainability targets designed to enhance the environmental and social impact of the Company’s operations and its value chain. These targets are subject to annual evaluation and include third-party verification. We are thrilled to announce that IXM has signed a USD $1.2 billion uncommitted secured sustainability-linked Syndicated Revolving Credit Facility in favor of IXM SA to finance copper cathodes from Africa. The facility was strongly backed by IXM’s banking partners, with an increased lender pool and heightened transaction appetite compared to the previous year, bringing the commitment on the facility to USD $1.2 bn with 22 banks. Underpinning IXM’s commitments, the facility is linked to material sustainability targets, aiming to improve the environmental and social impact of the Company’s operations and in the value chain.
