Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan Daler Juma stated that #Tajikistan is "generally ready to consider" joining the green corridor project with Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. Daler said that although Tajikistan has yet to be approached regarding the project, "It is obvious that for Central Asian countries, such as Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, such initiatives are important and require development." Last week in Azerbaijan, the presidents of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan signed a strategic partnership to establish a Caspian green-energy corridor, via which green energy from Central Asia would be exported to Europe. https://lnkd.in/eQD38w6P #GreenEnergyCorridor #GreenEnergy #Azerbaijan #Kazakhstan #Uzbekistan #CentralAsia

Since 2016, JCC has showcased the #CaspianRegion and specifically, the #CaspianSea as a transport route between East and West in the framework of its annual flagship conference that takes place every autumn. The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, also known as “the #MiddleCorridor,” as a viable alternative to Russia’s #NorthernCorridor placed it in the spotlight for coordinated efforts to solve bottlenecks and other logistical issues in the framework of our event and beyond. On November 12, on the sidelines of the 29th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (#COP29), #Azerbaijan, #China, and #Kazakhstan signed an agreement to establish an intermodal cargo terminal located at the #PortofAlat in Baku. The project seeks to develop the port’s cargo handling capacity, ultimately aiming to increase container train traffic along the China-Europe-China corridor via the Middle Corridor, aiming to shorten delivery times, lower transportation costs, and minimize transshipment duration. Cargo and port capacity have been among the key challenges needed to overcome and unlock the route’s full potential, with the ultimate goal of shortening the average transport duration to 15 days. https://lnkd.in/earrMbRq
