It was a full year until now 😁, which started so strongly that I didn't even have time to breathe. We have already made sales in the first two months of this year, as in the whole of last year, and the events for Joy Corporate are running one after the other. We had seminars on positive psychology, healthy life, stress, depression, burnout, work-life balance, negotiation, feedback, sleep, fear, productivity, efficiency, procrastination, smoothie workshops, and many many other activities for employees. This is not only in Basel, Bern, or Zurich, but more recently, in the beautiful Ticino, among lakes and palm trees, or in fantastic Geneva, for the International Labor Organization. Among all this, I took the time to go to the sea already and to go to my wonderful country of origin, Romania, to see my absolutely gorgeous niece and to recharge myself with energy, memories, and photos of the soul (I leave you a few more down). Although theoretically, I don't have much time for one of my favorite activities, private coaching, 1 on 1, I try to hold all the sessions in the evening for my dear clients, whose lives change remarkably. Some emigrated, others became successful leaders, and others wrote books, as did the outstanding M. After defining her mission through the coaching program, she became a successful leader. She invited me on stage with her at the launch of her extraordinary book on leadership. How much I wish I could reach. But I should fly again, which is something I wanted to reduce as much as possible... and I'm not good at it at all! 😁
However, there are also moments when I ask myself ten times whether to interrupt a coaching relationship. It happens extremely rarely and is sometimes painful, sometimes liberating. Some decisions consume my whole night of thinking. A coaching process is used to achieve the desired change. This requires trust. Trust in the coach, in the program, in the process. There is no guarantee that coaching will have an effect. At the same time, coaching relies on the client’s participation. They must be able to trust that the coaching will be a success. If this belief is missing, it is difficult or impossible to go through a process with a positive result.
From the start, it must also be clear that responsibility is shared and that the coach is not the one who solves the problems for you. The coach is just an advisor, a partner who asks the right questions to guide the customer to clarity. Building trust and achieving results is challenging if you already believe this experience will get you nowhere. Coaching is like a boat in which people row in the same direction. Sometimes, it is difficult to achieve results, but it becomes twice as difficult if you don't believe in it.
:) Until then, I wish you all a beautiful spring, lots of sun, and activities that will make your heart sing!
