Our school band 🎸 ‘Le Roc’ 🎶 represented La Garenne brilliantly at the Battle of the Bands competition last night! 🎤

Last weekend, the Drama trip I had spent weeks planning finally came to life! This year, our school production at La Garenne International School is Sister Act, and we took 20 of our performers to London to experience the magic of the West End. In addition to a dancing and singing workshop, we saw Wicked, Matilda, and took a tour of The Globe Theatre. Despite being born and raised just outside London and teaching English for five years, I had never visited The Globe before! The students were impeccably behaved and were in awe of the spectacular performances we watched. They were also thrilled to visit England’s true national landmark: Primark! I hope this will be the first of many Drama trips, and that students will continue to be inspired by the arts and the beauty of theatre.

Last weekend, I took my talented math students to Vienna for the ISMTF Senior Math Competition! It was inspiring to see them challenge themselves, collaborate with like-minded peers, and put their skills to the test. Competitions like this are more than just about the results—they foster resilience, creativity, and a deeper love for mathematics. Proud of their efforts and excited to see how this experience fuels their growth in the future!

The Arts are always better when they weave their way into the fabric of schools. In the art room this week, our 4 House Teams competed against each other in the "20 Minute Portrait Challenge"! The pressure was on as the clock ticked down and the students had to create a portrait at high speed of our wonderful drama teacher! Try it out, it's not as easy as you may think! Thanks goes out to a very brave Lydia for letting students render a likeness of her and to Ben for setting up the event 😀

Nearly 100 people came to the Swiss Learning event in Singapore in presence of his Excellency, the Swiss Ambassador, Frank Grutter - one of the best ever and it’s due to the magic of Stephanie Cheah and her team. La Garenne International School is happy to welcome all these new students for camps and academic year programmes.

The Red Pen event for Swiss Learning schools in Mumbai was the highlight gala that brought a full house of parents and students interested in Swiss boarding schools. La Garenne International School values the partnership with Red Pen notably Aneri Shah, Namita Mehta and Kim Dixit.
