Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming the members of the SFEZZO Foundation to our premises. This foundation, established in 1970, is a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting former MATISA employees. As a reminder, Mr Constantin Sfezzo, alongside Mr Ritz, was behind the creation of MATISA in 1945. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our visitors for their presence and their contribution to keeping the MATISA spirit alive over the years.

🚚 Behind the Scenes of Heavy Machinery Transport: A Milestone Moment for MATISA and Amtrak! Some nights ago, MATISA reached another proud milestone as we dispatched the final two oversized wagons for a groundbreaking project with Amtrak. These wagons, integral components of our state-of-the-art track renewal machines, left our Crissier factory for Basel, where they’ll embark on their journey to the USA. The transport operation was an impressive feat of logistics. Due to the size and weight of the cargo, the convoy was escorted by police and required meticulous planning to reroute traffic and ensure safety. Seeing this level of precision and coordination in action was truly inspiring. Special thanks to Friderici Spécial SA for their flawless execution of this challenging transport. Their expertise and professionalism ensured a smooth and secure delivery of these essential components. This milestone highlights MATISA’s dedication to delivering innovative solutions and supporting our valued client Amtrak in their mission to enhance railway infrastructure in the US. We are honored that this delivery caught the attention of Railway Gazette (Railway Gazette: https://lnkd.in/e9daSmzr), who covered the operation in their latest edition – a testament to the significance of this project. MATISA heads to the USA!  MATISA is proud to deliver its P 95 renewal train to Amtrak by December 2024, ready to transform the Washington–Boston corridor, one of the busiest railways in North America 🚆. This advanced train, featured in Rail Passion (Dec 2024) 📖, combines precision engineering ⚙️ with innovative features like rail heating 🔥, adaptable gripping tools, and automatic clip removal. A proud Swiss achievement set to drive railway renewal with efficiency and sustainability! 🌍

Earlier this week, we had the pleasure of welcoming members of the BahnJournalisten Schweiz association for an immersion into our world.
