The impact-driven entrepreneur I’ve known the longest in Switzerland ( even when I didn’t recognise the difference between impact entrepreneur & regular old good entrepreneur ) 😆
We first met when I organised my husband's 40th birthday party at Matt & Elly four years ago. And, this you might not know about me yet, decorating a birthday party is not my strength 🤭
I love to see beauty and glam everywhere, but when I have to create it myself it’s a huge task. And so, imagine, to add to the complexity, I had to decorate an already beautiful venue to make it look festive for my husband’s birthday
It had to be good for our adult friends, our kids, and their little friends too
So, I asked Denise if I could put up decor, and now I know they were wondering, what I’d bring along :)))
I rocked up with a helium tank and a dozen balloons, it was fab… so much so that one balloon was trapped in the ceiling of their brewhouse for a few weeks afterwards, and they always remember our party that way
Way to make yourself memorable, right? ... at least that still makes her smile! 🤣
Denise and her team, offers a stylish space for people to be as they are, while enjoying best quality food and drinks in a relaxed, casual atmosphere, in our beautiful #Basel … (without a doubt my favourite spot in town, friend)

Their impact comes alive weekly and it's open to the public. Matt & Elly’s kitchen is a fine dining restaurant and beer brewery. Their offer is completely seasonal & locally sourced, they are in tune with their ecosystem and form part of a conscious food network in the region
From Tuesday to Saturday you can enjoy their 4-course surprise menu as a vegan, vegetarian or meat/fish menu. Or order your creations à la carte of their current dinner offer
Over lunch enjoy their delish lunch menu burgers, or simply drop by to taste a great scoop of homemade vegan ice-cream paired with an authentic espresso
Whichever way you choose to go for your meal, I totally recommend you try their Baños de Agua Santa beer … you’ll love me for this recommendation, I promise you that!
