According to UN Women every 10 minutes, partners and family members killed a woman or a girl intentionally in 2023. The MWIA Violence Against Women and Girls Special Interest Group is advocating for an optional protocol to CEDAW focusing on leveling the law, training, prevention education, provision of services and dedicated funding, as a solution.
