Driving innovation together with the next generation 🚀 #Meraxis has partnered with the Berner Fachhochschule BFH and their “Master of Science in Digital Business Administration” students: The collaboration focused on tackling the real-world challenge of the digitalization of Meraxis’ freight procurement process. Together, we explored how automation and digital tools could streamline transportation procurement and pricing – always keeping the needs and challenges of all stakeholders in mind. 💡 Last week, the students presented their ideas to us, offering fresh perspectives on automating and enhancing these processes. We were particularly excited to see the variety of approaches – from process improvements in email workflows to leveraging AI for specific steps in the procurement process. 🤖💼 Their pitches were a true enrichment, delivering valuable insights that will shape the future of our operations. 🌱 Meraxis Eco-Mondays: Towards a NetZero Plastics Industry 🌱    #Meraxis is proud to be a partner in Zeropol – «Towards a NetZero Plastics Industry», a four-year project funded by Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency. This initiative aims to cut CO₂ emissions in the plastics industry by advancing circular economy practices, digital solutions, and innovative materials. With plastics contributing 3.4% to global CO₂ emissions and over 390 million tons of waste generated each year, Zeropol takes a holistic approach. The project team aims to create an online platform to share and scale sustainable solutions across the industry. As the only distributor partner, Meraxis will support these efforts by developing new business models and market strategies to drive industry-wide adoption. 💡 Together with the University of St. Gallen, ETH Zurich, and various startups and manufacturers, Meraxis is helping build sustainable value chains, starting in the Swiss market and beyond. #Meraxis is now ISCC+ certified ISCC+ stands for verified supply chains and an eco-friendlier production. Since December 2024, we are certified as an ISCC+ trader (this applies to deliveries without storage)! 🌿 This certification allows us to prove that we meet defined sustainability standards for the materials we supply in the product groups PE, PP, PS, PVC, ABS and SAN and that we can verify that our suppliers meet these standards, too.
