If you love #adventure and #exploring as much as we do at no normal coffee, then you've come to the right place...here goes: Once upon a time, in a land far far away, a young man named Matt Wallace, went on an expedition in the South American Amazon with three fellow explorers to discover the source of a river, climb the countries two highest peaks, and kayak the river all the way back down to the Atlantic Ocean. 😵 😵 😵 😵 Brutal struggles against the elements, reptiles, insects, bacteria, for 40 days. They stuck together, they persevered, and succeeded. 🚣 🧗 🌳 🕷️ 🐍 🦂 We sent 12 tubes of no normal coffee to the team before they set out on their mission, and we are beyond proud to know that in the toughest, darkest moments, we were able to provide energy and comfort to help them push on. „When you 100 percent stand behind the thing you do, you attract the right people that accompany you in the same purpose.“ Last Friday I, Philippe G., had the honor of representing no normal coffee at the University of St.Gallen MBA panel discussion on "Harmonizing Profit and Purpose". Together with Dr. Barbara Wicki from the Helvetia Insurance Group and Lea Bachmann from Global Girls Foundation we exchanged our opinions and experiences on the pressing issue in today's business world: How do we balance meaningful work with a profit-oriented approach? The pursuit of fulfillment, meaning, and purpose in work is increasingly prioritized over traditional profit-driven models. However, that societal trend often leads to companies loosing sight of value creation. Main challenge is therefore how to maintain focus on efficiency while cultivating a meaningful work environment. As a start-up, we as any other business too, face the challenge of balancing profit and purpose. While we prioritize value creation and efficiency in order to survive, our mission, however, goes beyond profit – it's about reconnecting with simplicity and valuing experiences like "smiles per hour" over performance metrics. No Normal Coffee stands for the enjoyment of nature instead of trying to conquer it.
